thanks for looking thru my build... long story, but i was on my way down to see him for his birthday the 18th, so we could go to south florida to get the new short block for my truck... he died on the 15th, sad situation, but...

last year he beat cancer, and i took care of him all thru chemo etc. we drank whiskey every night, smoked pot every night, cooked out on the grill, hung out etc. etc. all great times, he would have been 82 LOL cool old man

Hi new guy here and just finished reading through your whole build thread first I'd like to say that I'm sorry to hear about your Dad it's never a easy thing to go through. You are doing a great job on your truck and I'm looking forward to seeing it when you are done, you will definitely have something to be proud of keep up the great work.

a few more days and i'll be going to get my short block, lifelong friend is coming up to help me get the truck back together as much as possible over the next few weeks

going home to NC this coming Friday, loooong almost 3 months since my Dad died. my buddy is transporting my new engine with me, and will be helping me with the re-assembly of my truck, so I am hoping to have all things done and drivable my early Sept.

many updates...
front and rear suspensions are back in, and all torqued down
all sheet metal minus doors back on
head bolts coming on the 7th so i can button up my new engine

hope everyone has a happy 4th

ARP head bolts, and a new torque wrench arrived, will be putting heads on today

ordered lifters for my engine, will be here in a few days, and then i can put the intake on

updates and pics soon

Holidays over now, start of new year! expect a bunch of updates from here till June, when I want to have this thing drivable.

finalizing engine pieces parts round up, so the engine will be done soon!

Heads are on with new ARP bolts
have the intake just sitting on, waiting on lifters

got the lifters for the engine, will install tomorrow, more pics to come
once lifters are in, will need a pushrod checking tool to see how long of pushrods i need.

small update, bought rocker studs, guide plates, and a pushrod length checking tool, so i can order the right length pushrods, and get the rocker arms on and adjust valves, and button it up
