Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

well ill post pics when i can but heres the news... i was driving after school on friday and i parked the truck went in the store to get some good ole mountain dew to quench my thirst, i get out of school at 2:05 at about 2:20 i go out to the truck to find it smashed and leaking anitfreeze.. i asked around if anyone outside seen anythin and couple people said it looked like a drunk driver did a hit and run... so the damage is: destroyed passenger fender, destroyed the grille and trim, destroyed the bumper, tweaked the radiator support, tweaked the splash apron, bent the hood, put a nice gash in the radiator, destroyed the bar behind the center of the grille. destroyed the passenger turn sginal housing and tweaked the inner fender for the passenger side.. LUCKILY i had just got a 67 passenger fender for the GMC and i took off the brand new chrome bumper i had for it to keep it nice! so the only parts i need is: radiator, new grille and grille trim, new bar for behind the grille, new upper middle bumper bracket and new passenger turn signal housing with wiring. so i tore the truck apart saturday and sunday and i got all the extra parts out cleaned them up primered them painted them and installed them. so i was down to a grille and radiator well i made a couple calls on saturday and talked to some people about getting a grille. so yesterday i went to my buddys house and he showed me my options. i ended up getting a really nice grille/trim and turnsignal housings for 40 bucks! j=so now i just need a radiator.... i wasnt really happy with the aluminum radiator that i got. it just wasnt right and i hated how close the cap was to my radiator hold down but it was brand new and aluminum so i was happy. so now i get the chance to get the right one! pics will follow when i get home

Nobody got the lisence's plate an I only have liability! I'm paying for everything out of pocket! Just need a 4 core radiator with the transmission coolant line hookups and a heater hose attachment on it

Today I got the new grille all painted up and put on the truck just loosely tomorrow ill take the bolt holding it out and install trim and the emblem also need to clean up the new parking light housing and install that and ten back on she goes! With the splash apron and bumper and then a radiator and I'm back

If your truck had that much damage imagine the other vehicle, did you have the police come out and take a report, there is a good chance they could catch the guy.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Yeah check with Autozone and Oreillys on the radiator. Remember I get mine with the Midas discount through work and yes mine is a 4 core. Also you can pick an aluminum up on Ebay for around $200 shipped.
