Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
went to a swap meet in turlock yesterday and i got for 40 bucks was ( pics soon to follow) 67 70 chrome bumper guards in pretty good shape, 67 steering wheel only 2 cracks, perfect 67 ashtray, complete 67 ignition with a chunk of the dash, passenger wiper arm and blade, brand new 67 sending unit, custom camper 66 68 emblem, very nice chevy horn cap ( not CST kind ) horn cup to put the horn cap on and last but not least i got one of the cleanest original painted 67 glove box doors ever. almost al of these parts came from that 67. it was a cool truck until the guys son took it for its last drive which end at a tree the truck had a 283 with a 4 speed as well as a 4:11 positraction rear axle and it was blue inside with white exterior and a heater cab, longbed fleetside... no wonder the kid crashed that sucker had a 4:11 posi in it! oh well most of the truck will live on in other trucks.
so now i have 2 wipers and my fuel guage finally works. next up dash hoses, temp guage, and speedometer and the little "s" box for under the dash. while i was there was talking to the guy who i bought the bumper guards from and he said he has a 3:73 positraction rear axle in good shape... so i told him i want the carrier out of it he said he whill double check the gears and make sure its good, so posi may be very near in my future |

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
trucks been doing good, heaters keeping me nice and toasty in this cold weather. after i buttoned up the wind sheild wiper arms and the parts under the cowl, the windsheild wipers are working perfect.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
Looking great Rick, I see the odometer is reading 6.7 Did you roll it back? the numbers look to be aligned right. Seems I read others roll them back but the numbers dont center right, How did you roll it back?
Did your lube fix the blower motor scream? I have one sitting around collecting dust original GM 67 unit if you need one. Later 67

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
i took the speedometer out of the gauge tins.
next step carefully remove needle without scratching or bending anything with your fat fingers lol step 3 un screw the face of the speedometerand the little bracket that the face screws to step 4 pull the "c" clip out and carefully slide the roll of numbers to the left, WITHOUT taking the roll of numbers out. step 5 turn the " 10ths" side of the odometer backwards to make the number go back after you got it back to zero slide the odometer back to the right put the clip in screw the bracket and face back on install you ( maybe painted) needle back on and install your speedo back in your tins. |

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
yesterday i went to pick n pull and got some parts the fuel line is nessacary but the emblems are for my wall collection and the knobs and plugs are extras for me to just have incase any of my trucks need one ( future trucks to). heres a pic of all the parts from pick n pull and my bumper work from yesterday. if you look at the first pic is before and the 2 one is after, it looks much better. also went to a chevy dealership that was remodeling there office and i got a whole bunch of cool brouchers and posters and stuff heres the coolest things i got from them.
