Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's VA, and he had it fixed for another run before it all wrapped up to end the night! All the kiddies had such a blast riding the bus, it was awesome! The Jeep owned the pit, and nothing even compared to it! Big blocks/built do rule. K5 goes up to Chaos off road soon!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Almost got all the rear hatch parts in order, restored, organized, and ready for some pic's tommorrow. I have quite a collection of hatch parts, been working on this for a while! Still need to rework my replacement hatch for my resto, but at least I have what I need to get it done right! I will have some leftover parts up for sale when I am done.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Got my really nice driver side front fender home today. Only one small dent in it, a little rust stuff in the cup, but the cup is going byby anyway! This is a really nice d -side fender, man, scored big on this one! Means I might have a nice fender for sale eventually, one I picked up a while back!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Went up and helped tear the auto trans out of a huge "FORD" pickup with 2&1/2 axles. Luckily they already had the t-case on the ground! 460 big block, still making room in the shop for the K5!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Been working on stripping paint off of interior parts and found something that really surprised me! My SPID! Had two layers of paint on glove box cover, and figured the original SPID was long gone, started scraping the paint, and there it was! Here's a couple pic's, I wrote down all the part numbers and info so I can save it for the resto!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Moved a "bunch" of parts from the basement to the pole barn today. Wife say's she wants the pool table back asap! Organizing everything needed to take up to CHAOS OFF ROAD. Dana60 frt, 14blt rear, Ballistic high/steer w/crossover, rear shackle flip, 14blt disc conversion kit, NP205 t-case, crossmembers w/skid plates, weld on spring mounts, guardsman for the 14blt rear pinion, 1 ton brake booster/master cylinder/prop valve setup, HD shackles, ORD fush kit, Warn winch, Kennesaw frt. wincher bumper reworked, more to come as I dig it all out! Basement looks a little better, but a lot of stuff just cramed into the barn, I will work on putting it away tommorrow. Feels like I am finally getting somewhere and getting ready to start actually seeing some progress!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's again, VA! Spent a couple hours refurbishing the "72" front grille in my "70" Blazer. Massaged out a few dents, cleaned off a bunch of gunk, painted the inner honeycomb part black again, ready to replace the bowtie tommorrow! Gonna put the grille back in after it is cleaned up to make it ready to see how I have to modify my new "70" grille to mate up to my wincher bumper! I will take some pic's of the "72" grille after it is redone tommorrow. Defintialy a little better than driver quality, but not perfect. That's fine with me, I have a brand new NOS inner and outer ready to go in when ready. Old one is for testing winch bumper first. Man, this grille cleaned up nice, I was surprised! It will still be in decent shape when I am done cutting it up for my prototype setup! Need to put the hood latch back on to be able to drive it, and figured I might as well put a grille back in for now, and make it look more complete!

Thank's VA! Got it all done and ready to mount back in. Here's some pic's, couple of overall shots and a couple of the worst dings. All and all, not that bad for now. I will install the 70 style when I finish this project.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Yep, ya gotta have a hobby and this is mine. Glad the wife is behind me 100% We were so into it in the late 70"s, to mid 80's, and then came children. But here we are again, back where we started, almost thirty years later! This thing is on now let me tell ya! With CHAOS OFF ROADS help, this will come into some progress soon!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

John is making headway on the wiring harness on the jeep in the shop, when it's done K5 is in there! Working on adding a lean-to on my little barn, move my 14 ft boat out there and make more room for k5 stuff! Pic's this weekend!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Work, work, work. I owe I owe, so off to work I go! Customers Jeep is still in limbo, waiting on finishing up the wiring on the V8 transplant, and some money input from owner for exhaust setup! Won't be to much longer before John pushes it out back, and makes room for mine! Only enough room for maybe 3 full size projects in his shop, plus his daily work !

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Dad and I made major headway on a little lean-to to my red storage barn today. Man turns 76 tommorrow, and can still out work me! Nice addition to my storage, gets my 14ft boat out of the K5 pole barn. Makes more room for the K5 project, taking pic's of the progress!
