Speedbump, Looks cool! Love what you did with the paint on the body line difference. I dislike the curved down line, no imagination.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Detail work, painted the dash with wrinkle paint,, inside steps with spray bed liner, detailed door jambs, took the bed off to begin painting the frame and install the new gas tank. Discovered my cross member that the shocks bolt to is bolted in, instead of riveted, one sides bolts were loose, so thinking new grade 8s and nylocks may keep that from happening again.

Worked on the steering wheel. Got the horn adaptor figured out and fabbed. Dremmeled out the cracks in the steering wheel. Tomorrow will epoxy and start sanding it. I will post details in my build thread.

Started install my jute pad and carpet. I have a center console that will cover the seam in the middle. I also test fit one of my speaker pods. Car show in (2) weeks so I'm in trash mode...ha ha

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Sanded the steering wheel first epoxy coat and applied second. Worked on cleaning up the tailgate cable bracket welds. Guide coated and blocked the bumpers. Feels like progress.

I finished one speaker pod and mounted the speaker. I'm working on the driver side now. This was my first attempt at making fibergalss speaker pods. I learned a lot.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Spent nearly $1,000 in parts today buying everything from cab corners to bed mounts. Fingers cross that the bulk of the buying is now done.

For my and my wife's birthdays (we are only a couple weeks apart) her family bought almost all of the exterior lighting for the truck, so that is exciting, too!

Thanks man, I learned a lot. I still need to make a cover to cover up my computer for my engine seen in the pic. I also need to figure out the back of the cab.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Spent an hour and a half drilling out rusted bolts. Mostly it was the stupid clutch head bolts holding the rear fender on. Should of just skipped buying the clutch head sockets and started with drilling them out, would of saved a couple hours of cleaning and fighting with them.

Anyone else up for finding out who created clutch head bolts and who decided they'd be a good idea to hold the rear fenders on and take them out back??

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

I sanded off about four coats of globbed on paint from the inside of my bed and sprayed it with three coats of rattle can bedliner. It has a decent texture and seems to be pretty hard but was difficult to avoid streaks. It is Dupli-color brand. I also installed stainless side strips from Mar-K useing stainless truss head screws. Was going to spot weld it on but decided screws would be better for preventing future rust between the strip and bed side. My original side strips had long ago been removed and replaced with pop riveted angle iron.

The board in the pic are just there to position the strips, bed wood is my next project.
