Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I agree but these Twisted Vista's looked great on my 56 Belair.

I never cared for the looks of those cars till I saw yours. I love the lowered look.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Red & Black 2 tone with red interior. I'll add some pinstripping in silver also for a color division. Plus some old school stripping. That's a ways off though.

No more like this, only with red on top, and black on the bottom.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Yeah it tucks in nice. Mine will tuck even further than that with the bags I'm installing. Keep checking in. That's coming up next when I start on the frame again. Just have to finish the flare on the drip rail, and shave the hole for the speaker grill in the dash.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Thanks Jason. I just want to get it running and on the road. Then I'll blow it apart and paint it, but I'll do the inside and the frame first, before I drive it & paint the outside later.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
But I need an air compressor before I can do much more. Come on money tree. I'm thinking you'll be done first.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
friend of mine used a couple of propanetanks hooked up in series with a big water seperator and a realy small compressor he let it run for bout 2 hours to fill up the tanks before he started painting .
it worked pretty good no airpulses from the compressorpistons or water/oil in the air to ruin the flow out the gun the small compressor does have a shorter than normal lifespan running it that way but its cheaper to replace then a big compressor and has more use like lifting it up a stairs and use it to power a tacker or nailgun

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
i figured he answered to youre idea to paint the inside and run it as is for a while but if thats the case he could use a aircopump out of a certan year volvo ( think i still have that website somewhere if you need it ) or a CO2 tank with a regulator tied down in the bed for the time being ...... there a lot of guys doing it that way sumtimes because its cheaper than a pump but most of the time to get the bags filled a LOT faster

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I was talking about a compressor for painting/sand blasting. But I need two of the other kind also, I don't need those for awhile though. I was looking at getting one from Lowes for about 800. When I get it I can start painting some stuff. I already burned up a pancake compressor.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Come on!!!! How long does it take to sell a car? Truth, you sold the car and spent the money on that damn Vette did'nt you. Don't forget the name of your thread is "Cheap build up". You should'nt need any money. You said this in the first paragraph "I am going to use everything from the bumper bolts to the wiring harness". What else do you need? Your trucks not still parked out in back of your shop is it? Don't make me go Goggle on your a$$. Carry on. I feel better now. I hope Liz does'nt see this she hates it when the a$$ is hanging out.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Soon I'll be getting back on it. I will still use all the crap of the 73. But some things I have to spend money on. Like the A/C, paint, Upholstery, Engine Machine work, and tires. The ones on there are rotten. I still haven't sold the F*ckas. That Used Car Dealer asked his buyer, and he said they will only give me $4,000 for it. I'm trying a little longer to sell it. My price went down to $5,000. I hate looking at it in front of the house. Not one call from Craigs List.

They are 15x7 front and 16x8 in the rear. I would love to have 17" all around though.
