Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
So this is were im at 3 third attemp at these hinges thegeaometry is not quit there yet when open the back end of the hood hits the top of the firewall, getting real close tho shoud have it under control soon. There is little room for error or the geometry will fail. and the notches I made are real close tho the fende to the cab bolt so i had to add a stiffener for support, after I get the geometry right on I will box in and body work the notches. Alot of work but they look damm good

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
I also chopped the bottom trim around the core support. It was an eye sore so it had to go.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
I finally completed all the metal work on the hood hinges, fit and gaps are perfect and it closes and latches effortlesly. still need to start the mudd work. I did have to bust out the 2x4 and a 4 lbs beater because the hood had an arch down both sides.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
i am also waiting on some vette mirrors kinda like these i will trim to fit the contours of my doors. i was debating weather to go with these new style vette mirrors or some traditional billet swan neck ovals but after photoshoping the new mirros lookd better, since it is a corvette theme truck it made sense
