Serviced every year. On a 238 trailer. I've never even been invited on a boat like this. I'll be happy when the numbers are on and it's mine. I really love drag/hotrod/daycruiser type boats, but I'm 49 and so is Momma, we have adult kids, and eventually we'll have small persons again (not soon!), so I decided something deeper with a windshield would be better. Momma and I grew up on the water, and I really miss it. I've been hitting it really hard for several years now, and circumstances have put me where I can do this, so we're gonna give it a try. When it gets legal, I'm getting a new cover and an (ahem) upgraded stereo. Eyeing some groovy new style trailer mods to flex my fab skills too. Thanks for asking. Hoping to go to Beaver Lake/Table Rock/Pomme de Terre Lake later this year.

Looks like a petty racey boat to me. Should be fun.

Yeah, I don't know. It sounded like the paperwork has to go from the dealer to Helena and back to the county. I had to make damn sure they got the right county because our address is one county but we actually live in another county. The nearest PO is in the next county.

All I know is the car dealers are or were sure doing a lot of business in 2020 despite all the pandemic nonsense.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

OK, slightly amusing, and any time you want to stop reading because your eyes glazed over, I will understand.

Had to call the dishwasher repairman, through the store I bought the dishwasher from. Washing dishes for a week, by hand, we all thought we were going to die! I went through all the troubleshooting routine, and still ended up with "clogged drain hose". Pulled the thing out from under the counter, cleaned the filters, drained the drain hose that goes to the break at the sink, etc., even tried to pull water out of the drain hose with a shop vac (that was, of course, unsuccessful). Well, the tech gets here, looks it over, takes a part out of the air break, and the thing starts pumping water out! Turns out that it's a common problem for the air break to get clogged. Since I had pulled it all down and water ran out into a drain pan, I didn't figure that that was the problem. The guy was in the house maybe 8 minutes. I wish that whatever was clogging the break hadn't gone down the sink drain. There is a filter, well, more than one, in the bottom of the dishwasher, so I'm confused on how anything could get up there to clog it. Then again, I found unpopped popcorn kernels below the filters. Something is amiss in the filtration system. I'd like to go look at a pump diagram, but I'm betting money that it looks like the insides of an automatic transmission, with looks like magic, anyway. If water wasn't such a precious commodity around here, I would just take the dishes out front and hose 'em off. Then again, maybe I could leave them in the back yard where the dogs can't reach them and let the neighbor's rats chow down. Then take 'em out front and pressure wash them. Plastic bowls blowing down the street, where they belong!

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

That's an SPX. Mine's a 225BR. Same-ish boat, mine's Slightly tubbier. If I was better at it, I'd put up a pic. It's wrapped up in storage right now. 6" or so of snow in the next 5 days. Ugh. Thanks for the pic!

Dang, that's a lot of wood! Reminds me of childhood. We hauled it in a 67 Camper Special, 327/TH400.

I'm kinda obsessed with firewood . Right now it windy as hell and about 21° house is a toasty 74 ° . I have electric heat and I would have to sell off a few trucks to pay the electric bill if it was going. I have a honey hole for wood friend owns a horse farm with about 60 acres of woods with trails . He has me keep the dead stuff off the trails and cut whatever I want to . But I mostly take dieing ,leaners and lots of blowdowns.

He called me that 3 huge oaks had been blown down so I'll be getting them in spring . I have about 15 cord cut split and stacked . And 30 in log length the oaks should be another 10 . But if the trunks are nice I'll mill it

Can't be letting yourself get behind on the wood cutting

This weekend I decided to go ahead and replace the roof on one side of my little barn. This is the building I'm moving and I wanted to wait on the roof until building was moved, due to weight. Since I spread plastic and stone last week, and the roof was bad at the bottom edge leaking down to where the plastic is spread, I decided to go ahead and keep that dry. I don't think the metal weighs any more than all those cedar shakes

I've also had squirrels being a nuisance. They would make holes on the shakes and were nesting in the ceiling. What you see is the backside of the t&g cedar ceiling. The black is what's left of the craft facing of the insulation I had installed. They totally obliterated that stuff. All that remains is what is down in the soffit at the bottom. I'd get pieces falling out but it sure didn't seem like all that insulation would be gone. Where did it go??

I was playing my guitar and the strangest thing happened.

My wife actually paid me a compliment and said that I played well.

She never does that. It makes me wonder what she's up to.

You better hurry. We are having 3 heavier bands of snow moving through here this weekend and they are headed your way....

Squirrels can do a lot of damage. Maybe all of that insulation is packed down at the bottom.

Guess what more firewood getting my stamina up actually stopped because my feet got cold . Batteries died in my heated socks . Misses got them for me for Christmas was a little skeptical but they work well about 12 hours of warmth from a 9v battery

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I split all my wood by hand

But it's just knotty pine, not oak etc.

Got my brush saw and my old chainsaw back from the shop on Friday. Surprisingly the old chainsaw didn't need too much, so now I theoretically have two good running saws. I've only run the new one a few minutes so far. This next week I need to get off my butt and start cutting all the juniper regrowth around the house now that I have the brush saw running (supposedly!) again.

I think you're right, the squirrels must have shredded all the insulation. It was packed tight into the soffit. That has been getting wet and was a solid frozen chunk to break out of there. A lot of rot on the one area.

I'll catch the little triangle off a ladder once the pile of shakes is gone. The facia and soffit will get replaced when I take out the 32" section of shed roof before sliding the barn over to it

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I built this. I had to stop on the bigger one behind it to get this done for a Saturday install. Started yesterday mid-morning, finished this afternoon, about 11 hours total. It gets a couple of matching file cabinets under each end. The guys in the cabinet department built them yesterday.
The pics don't do it justice. it looks overexposed? The silver part looks like brushed aluminum and the tops are a light woodgrain pattern.

Thumbs up Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Here at the beach a neighbor wanted his cart fixed. Said another neighbor had been working on it but when it turned cold he hadn't touched it since back in November. I got running in two day. He said the other person had it for several months before me.
I had to take all the batteries out to change motor put key switch, micro switch, solenoid and mount the controller back in it. The owner said the other neighbor was replacing the controller because it was bad, NOT! The one picture shows all the wiring I cut out of it hanging out of the dash. I have no idea what that was all about. I think it was a radio but no sign of one though. The owner had asked the other guy to install one but there is no radio, had some cheap speakers for one but I told him no radio. No charger with it. He said the other neighbor has it all.
Note to self, don't ask other neighbor to work on golf carts!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
