Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
That is a super nice truck and the fab work is amazing. So much attention to detail. I just spent the last 2 1/2 hrs looking at this build up.

Love it!!!
Could you show us some interior pics of how much legroom in the rear seat? What seats did you end up using? |

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
The seats that I used were from a 2003 Chevy extended cab front and back. Do you want to know how much room with the seat all the way back or forward? When I put the seats in the rear position I can barely reach the gas pedal. I am not real happy with the 2003 center seat in the front and looking to maybe put another middle seat.

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
Thanks for responding. I am 5-10, so I don't need to see them all the way back. I am planing on using the same seats (not the full 4 door rear seats). Could we see also a picture of the rear seat mount, did you beef up the floor???

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
Here are some pictures of the rear seats and one with the front seats moved just a little bit. The floor was modified a little bit and brackets were made to mount the extended cab seats to.

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
Well I am looking at options to changing out my center console/jump seat. The first picture is what I have now from a 2003 and the second one is from a 2008 Chevy truck. I am also looking to find the deluxe center console from a 2007-2009 truck that has a lid and has storage under the center seat.

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
That is a beautiful truck. I would love to own something so nice one day. The only thing I would do to it would be to put a stock steering wheel in it. They look much better in my opinion.

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
With the autometer gauges, 2003 seats and a modern stereo and A/C nothing much stock about the interior. Plus I like the smaller steering wheel and the best part was that it was free.

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
Almost time to take back to the upholstery shop and get the leather installed on the seats and door panels and do something about the front seat jumpseat/console. I will be probably taking it to the car show in Pleasanton at the end of march for the Goodguys show, it needs to get out.

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
Very nice! I love this truck! It is pretty amazing that it is still only 6000lbs. I figured it'd be heavier than that. That thing will be awesome with leather! Very nice ride!

Re: Project Penicillin~ 68 crewcab build up!
I would have to disagree. I like the later model steering wheel. I think they look good in our year trucks. And they're cheap or free. I've got them in my trucks.

I installed the trim on the tailgate and the white letters too. Thanks to Mark-K for the tailgate trim pieces that fit great and look even better.

Are those Katzkin seat covers? lf so let me know how they fit. I was thinking of ordering a set for my seat. I have the same set.
