I hope you didn't have to shell out anything to fix the tub from post #588! You can bet your truck won't do you that way! Just keep after it, life has a way of clearing out the clutter if we'll let it.

just lost the depost thats about it. (-500) wasnt just the tub was the bathroom door. and door frame from me kicking in the door.

but done with that mess. got my head on straght and focusing more on school and work. got a few classes left so like 6months ill have my A&P licence

cant wait to get into that! dont know if i said anything about my new job. but im a tech at a nissan dealership and about 3/4 of the way done from being a GT-R tech. at the age of 20

Thanks man. just little steps at a time. sad by the time ill be a certified nissan gtr tech ill be leaving in a month moving over to aviation when im done with school. but there is so much more room to grow in that field unlike automotive . but as far as the truck hopefully will be dont by thanksgiving weekend to take it to daytona for the huge carshow ! didnt get to make it last time after the engine swap.

stopped by the painters the other day. he has been busy with painting the cab of the big truck behind it. but getting done in the next few days. he started looking over the areas that need to be fixed and filled. the dents and stuff. and holes i want filled.

the door i got is junk lol like it says on it. found more rust and body filler on that door. so he started to fix my dented in one. needs a little more time on that and it will be perfect. he is pulling the bed off in a few days and start with the cab corners. ordered both a month ago (classicparts.com) and they only sent me one. then call me and say the other is on back order

kinda pissed they didnt inform me when i placed the order.. so the drivers side he is going to try to do with out the patch. just use sheet metal i guess.

That's a nice color. I used to have a '69 Chrysler New Yorker 2 door back in the day that was almost that very same color!

dang you moved up to the GTR tech spot quick. How long you been a nissan tech? You do all training classes? I was a tech at Nissan also for 3 years. GTR certafied, then things got rough there now im onto a GM dealership.

I've got to be sent to Orlando (3hours away) and take a class then ill be a gtr certified tech. I've only been here for 7 months will be the other gtr tech from what I hear who is not a master tech. Only got 2 ase's. . You pretty much went the opposite way I did. I started out at GM then **** got rough haha

This is all at my painters house. All the other pics are at my garage ..it helps a lot! Can't wait till she's back to start putting it back togeather for Daytona carshow this Thanksgiving! !

oh from what i understand Nissan will not certify you in any spot you dont have ASE's in now. That whole tech thing they got going, for every so many techs in the shop a certain amount have to be certafied with ASE's and Nissan certs for the full level.

pretty much yeah. but ase's are really nothing now a days. its just passing a test. no hands on nothing needed. but they are wanting to pay for all of my tests if id like to take them. ive just dont got the time really. dealing with a whole nother field in school really takes your head away from the automotive world. just wanting to stay focused on school thats why i didnt jump at the chance to go to training up in orlando and get my ase's.

anyways ! talked to the painter today the drivers side all the body work is done and primed and body is almost done on the passinger. should see some color in a few days. havnt had time to go over there for some pics. but this weekend ill head over there

really getting excited for this
