Complete '79 1/2-ton 4x4 running gear except motor. 3:73's, part-time, never wrecked -
How difficult would it be to drop a 67 - 72 body on this? https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...874007248.html |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
67-72 lwb was 127" and 73+ lwb was 131.5 - so, probably not a very fun project . Also, even if converted to part time, the NP203 is chain-driven, not quite as strong as the 205, another consideration on the running gear. If you have a C10 you want to swap onto it - you could swap the axles onto the C10 chassis - a bit of work for the front, but some folks have done it. Probably not worth buying a whole truck for its axles and so-so t-case though.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Really nice truck and, in my view, a good price; even though I just bought my K10, I would be very temped to buy it!

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I agree. I think the price is in line especially for a western truck. Yeah it has a little rust from the salt lake valley air but overall looks very saveable. So many truck so little time and money 😂

Not mine FYI. Looks like a good truck, not sure why they're parting.

The rust near the visors would also cause me to take pause. Real K20 Super or not, I think it's priced a little high with no engine (and all the other items being discussed like the doors, grille, rust, headliner, yada yada). It does however come with a very nice wasp's nest. |
