Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

might just be preference. I bought my truck because of the big block it's what I wanted. nothing wrong with a small blocks. they all burn gas & rubber some just more than others.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I've owned both big blocks and small blocks, both can be fun. As someone mentioned though, the key is torque. As the old saying goes, "there is no replacement for displacement".

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Ive had small blocks and big blocks, i like them both but i perfer big blocks. I have had better luck with big blocks because they seem to be tougher, i abuse and use mine daily and it is still a rush to drive it. Small blocks are still good but i cant seem to keep one together, but to each his own they are all fun

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

its not all GM lol. this is my buddies project. some one offered him the truck if he took the dump bed off. i had 2 other stepsides sittin at my house so we narrowed one 10". its just lagin on there but after trimming the rear of the frame and lifting the front a little it looks awesome. i thought you guys might get a kick out of it

after removing the bed. had to take it back to his house to cut some welds. i could try to bounce the back of the truck and maybe get an inch the travel and im about 180 lbs

the bed just resting on it

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Its been a while since I posted my '78 (Compilation of about 6 different trucks, btw lol)

Now it's in primer:

It's rusty, and crusty but very trusty And my friends gave me a nickname.. the "Overspray king" If you look at my mirrors and windshield closely you'll see overspray all over the place lol)
