Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Well we got the idea of using part of the inside of a door since they usually have all kinds of curves in them. Then my friend welded it in for me. Not really fixed the right way but it'll keep it from leaking and on the road til I can fix it right.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Cut out like 1 BaJillion body rivets out of my extra SWB frame and partially reassembled it so it'll remain square. What a PITA, but it'll let me paint every surface when it's time for it. I also built a hidden receiver hitch out of a Dodge Ram hitch I got at the scrap yard for $5.

Hopefully you don't have chrome around your windshield. Cause we are on hour 2 of trying to get my glass and chrome to fit in.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I got the console finished and upholstered. Finished custom building a ultra leather headliner and rebuild the visors in same material. Now just to move Air ride suspension gauges and switches to custom bezel build to go between console and dash.

No work on the '67 today. Had to take the day and replace the radiator in the '92 GMC dually.

It is made from heavy duty 1/2 inch upholstery foam wrapped in ultra leather. It is glue to the roof instead of buying the chrome trim and drilling holes. I like the cleaner look it gives. We carved lines in the foam for just a bit of design.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Tell me what yall think......This is the new gauge bezel for the RideTec Air gauges and switches. It will be mounted between the dash and new console right under the heater/def control panel. Should I leave it brushed aluminum (as is) or paint it Orange?

No question about it. Brushed aluminum.

I'd vote for one change though:

Turn the gauges and switches "the other-side-up" so you won't wreck that truck or your neck as you drive while standing on your head.

Paint to match...I think it would better blend into the interior!

I have a complete Ridetech Air suspension setup. the gauges and electric switches originally come in a stainless steel square plate.....Took up a little room and didnt fit anywhere on my truck without look out of place. So thought, what the heck, I have a drimmel tool, a pair of snips and a bender, I will make a new one to add a custom touch and make the gauge assembly look like it belonged here.

Okay. My take on design is that contrast is important. But that's just me.
