Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Built a receiver mount for my winch and a bracket to put it on my trailer.

Gonna go get my 72 from where I have it stored next month, needed this to get it on the trailer.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Cleaned the shop and decided to remove the inner portion of the hood to sand blast it and rust proof. Plus, it'll make welding in the patch panel easier.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I cut a hole in it.

Then spent awhile fitting up the new panel. If I make it over to the shop tomorrow, I'll start welding it in.

Spent about 1.5 hours with the wire wheel on the firewall, rest of the day sand blasting parts.

if you have a US shipping address you get around that. over here we use an outfit called Seawings express international. they have a Blaine address and they bring stuff over daily $17.00 brings over 5lbs. pick it up at Victoria airport, whisk it through customs and your gone. there must be someone doing that at Abbotsford,a/port. US shipping to Blaine is usually minimal so in the end it doesn't make much difference and you don't have to pay those courier ripoff brokers fees.

I don't mean to high jack the thread but how do the bottom of the bags attach to the lower control arms or do they just sit in the pockets?

The bottom of the bag bolts to a cup that just sits in the spring pocket.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Thanks for sharing that they fit well. I'd like to add those to my truck someday, along with the chrome frames on the side glass. I think they'd upgrade the cab every bit as much as the stainless windshield trim.

Mark, hope you don't have to do like me: apply for an FHA loan to purchase a pair! Of all parts for our trucks, the price of vent-windows has blown my mind about as much as any thing I easily recall. I ended up buying a fairly nice pair on Ebay--including good glass and chrome--and re-building them. Luckily, they made a very nice 'driver-quality-plus' set. Even lucked up later & sold my originals to a guy whose set was much worse than mine.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

My script valve covers arrived from Don today!

Woohoo!

They look great.

Now, to mod them for a PCV valve and a baffle and then repaint.

Started on the cpp disc brake and drop spindle! The old spindle removal was a huge PITA.
