Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Thanks! It looks good but don't let her fool you! The inner fenders are rotten and the rocker panels and cab corners are pretty much non existent on both sides. This picture was taken about 4 or 5 years ago so it did get progressively worse. It's all good though because the cab I picked up while I was out in Colorado has almost no rust and I only paid $300 for it.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Yeah I've already checked out some stuff on LMC and that's probably where I'll end up getting them. Thanks for the heads up though, I've never ordered anything from them before. Also, I'm pretty new on this forum so any help and feed back on how to do things would be greatly appreciated!

A set of them bed rails went for over $800.00 on ebay the other day. But they were in great shape.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here is my beast, it's an 87 R10 shortbox. It's going to be a long term project for me. This is the day i bought her. It's in really good shape for here on the island. The salt water usually eats everything. Best $600 i have ever spent !!!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Nothing special yet, but here's my bare bones '75 Sierra. 250 with a 3 in-the-knee. The 6 just took a dump so my Dad and I are getting ready to drop in a crate 350 and a new trans (still not sure if I'm gonna go with an automatic or another manual).
Plans are to first get it running tip top, as it's going to be my daily. After that, some minor body work and a fresh coat of primer, a 5/7 drop and new wheels/tires. I'll post more pics after some much needed progress. |

I kind of like the steelies and beauty rings! It would look pretty cool if you kept the bare bones look and just dropped it a bit.
