Looked all over for ear protection before spending an afternoon on the grinder. Since my shop is about 10 miles out from my house, it seemed more economical to make my own ear plugs. Hell they worked great, 3 hrs on/off a grinder and no ringing in my ears and no headache. Redneck with a need I guess....

No gun pics though....I'll keep what I own between myself and the woods....

cottonwool impregnated with some vaseline work great too though you usually dont have stuff like that laying around in the shop

Many moons ago at a Christmas party dance with a live band, we got assigned to a table right in front of the speakers. While everyone else complained about the bone rattling sound levels, I unwrapped two butter patties, tossed the butter, rolled the tin foil into balls and wrapped them with a discreet amount of paper napkin. Popped one in each ear and enjoyed the evening. Everyone at the table thought I was a jerk (probably true).
