It's a '73 Jag XJ6. I bought it years ago. I also purchased the mounting kit for the '55-'59 series trucks from a company call Concours West. They had everything needed. I can't find them anymore. I think they went out of business.

This is the look I'm after:

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

I installed my Juliano's seatbelts. They look good and the color is actually darker blue than the pics make them look. They say to pop rivet the upper anchor to the cab but I threaded the two small holes instead and used chrome button head allen screws to hold it in.

I had to remove my jack from it's factory location in order to attach the driver side retractor so it will probably reside under the seat now.

In case anyone hasn't seen it, here's a video of installing seat belts in a TF.

http://www.bobshotrods.com/howto/3-p...chevy-pick-up/

I'm only 5' 10" tall but I run my seat all the way back. I couldn't mount the inner part of the belts like they say in the video because they weren't long enough to reach up between the seat back and cushion. I had to mount them on top of the ridge that holds the gas tank straps and even now you can see in the pic that they aren't overly long. Anyone else run into this?.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Nothing but we are cleared for a push now that the greenhouse is dried in and usable. Going to finish the steering wheel change, then start final body work on bumpers, door interior, grille and misc interior items for paint (matching the cab interior color). Then fuel door and fill pipe. Gas it and start the engine.

Smart and a LOT better looking than pop rivet heads showing. Though I suppose you could dimple the pop rivet locations and then fill with weld or filler and smooth them over. I also wonder if you even NEED these rivets/bolts? Won't the 1/2" bolt hold the backing plate adequately all by itself?

You do need the rivets or screws. The anchor bolt that holds the belt has a shoulder about 1/2 inch long, which tightens against the bracket, not the cab wall. It would be kind of sloppy and rattle if you didn't have the rivets or screws.

Finished the bed inside this afternoon. Roll pan, fenders and put it on the frame next week. It's Miller time now!

Detail painted the inner door frame, and inside step, used the spray bedlinner stuff on the steps looks nice, now if I can just keep it clean. Wrinkle painted the upper part of the dash, lots of masking. Lower dash and ceiling and rear of cab to go.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Actually it was Saturday but I got the truck out from under the cab-over camper, all the loose underhood parts secured in place with bailing wire, piled all the loose nuts, bolts, driveshafts etc into the cab, loaded the cylinder head (HEAVY!) into the bed & got it ready to tow back to Berkeley.
The truck lives in Grass Valley at the moment, but I'm finally just one trip with a trailer away from bringing it back to the shop in Berkeley. ~3 hours drive each way.
Oh, and I continued obsessing over which brake kits, which engine, which carpet & which gas tank I'm going to want.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Ordered my hardware for the suspension, battery box, and polyliner for my leaf springs. This weekend is going to be a wash, but the following weekend I will pick up the rear end out of the yard and hopefully have the front end suspension put back together.

Recently added the chrome wheel center caps. Today I threw an old bed in the back and took it to Salvation Army. Fun to drive that beast.
