Re: project (sweet pea)
mike i think? i will have to double check....But i think they are 315/40/17....They are pretty wide.. about 13 inches...The rims are 17/12 in the rear..and 17/10 in the front.....I am looking to go taller in the rear....But i don't have any room to go wider....Any suggestions.....?

Re: project (sweet pea)
Tony...you sure of that size. If you could verify it maybe there's a manufacturer that makes a 315 with a taller sidewall. Let me know if it's indeed 315/40/17

Been getting a few P.Ms asking about (any updates)....As far as actual work on Sweet Pea....There really has not been any..Other than I got my door panels painted(silver)....At this point I am waiting on vendors....Glass,weather stripping,carpet....Pretty much the entire cab...I did send my seat out to get done.....And I just need to get a few misc Engine Pieces...(radiator,fan relays, headers.and probably a few other things I am missing.....And with over a foot of snow outside....lol it may be a while.....

Re: project (sweet pea)
Yeah.......Just put my new windshield in and rear glass....new weather stripping as well....Got my headers (not installed) fuel cell came in, balancer is in, Fuel lines and fittings Jegs does a great job....Still waiting on a 1/2 to 8a/n fitting.to get all the fuel lines done.Trans lines are ran and just waiting on a few fittings from Jegs to finish that up as well.......Still need a Radiator and a few minor pieces for it to run.... It wont be long...There is a swap meet here in a few weeks. So hopefully I will get some much needed Dynomat. Carpet and Decide on which grille I am going to run.....the 69/70 grille is growing on me...But more than likely I will do a 72.That is what she is....

Re: project (sweet pea)
As promised....
Got the headers put on tonight....Tight fit....But I got them in there....Sorry the frame is so dirty.....I am dying to get everything all cleaned and waxed....... I have about an 1/8th inch of clearance here...I am thinking I need to modify the passenger side engine frame mount....I am sure it will hit....I am not one to baby this thing....So I imagine that with some high revs it will hit...... Re: project (sweet pea)
I think this is where I will be mounting the tank....It will make it way easier to fill from here other than mounting it in the front... Last edited by bad6772; 02-25-2009 at 10:57 PM. |

Re: project (sweet pea)
nuke1 i will go out after work and get the measurements for you....For my purpose it was the only choice..as it will see the track a few times a year....I have used this style tank before its a great street/ strip unit and the price is hard to beat...
