Re: Daverods 52
Had to mount my fan on the front of my radiator. Had to make a new catch for my glove box. Glad to finally shut that thing, still needs a new lock.

Re: Daverods 52
I like the rad set up. What was that out of again? I think I might have asked you before and or have read it, but there are alot of pages to sift through. Glad to see some progress.

Re: Daverods 52
I never mounted my bed rubber, it just layed in there over my plywood. I have since mounted old barn wood to the plywood and did away with the rubber. Both set ups I am able to take the inside of bed out pretty easily. I like that because I can inspect and work on things when needed. I have actually been under there for quite a few rear end repairs already.

Re: Daverods 52
I was messin with my driveline. I think it needs tyo be about 53". Anyone know of a chart or somthing that tells you how long the driveline is in different trucks/cars? I'll probably end up getting one made but it would be nice if I could pick up in the junk yard.

Re: Daverods 52
daverod,
I think what would be better, is if we has a thread that everyone can post their stats to, in efforts of gathering data for the length of driveshaft. But it isn't too hard to get under there and measure either. Problem is with all the frame swaps and transmissions and all those variables such as mounting your engine forward or back etc. changes the driveshaft length. Mine is a two piece out of an extended cab 4x4 s-10. If I were to get a one piece i'd do a 58-59". I have seen em on ebay brand new with quite a bit of hp rating for about 250 shipped.

Re: Daverods 52
It's kinda hard to get a good picture. I just welded to square bars 1x1 from driver to passager side. One all the way up and the other about 5" below that. My biggest problem was moving the handle for the vent. It was really easy still need to run brake lines. That's next on my list.

Re: Daverods 52
Steering hose thing is pissin me. First time I got a 84 s10 hose. The hose going into the pump would'nt fit. Then I got a 81 350 hose. It has the wrong end on it, I guess I have a old steering pump or somthing. I need a hose with a invert on one end? Do they even make yhat? Maybe I better just get a newer pump?

Re: Daverods 52
Decided to buy a newer steering pump. I guess the new pumps use the o ring style the older pumps use a flare. I just hope it mounts up ok.

Re: Daverods 52
I was puttting my pads on.....? Is there anything that holds the outside pad in place? It fits where it needs to be, it just seems loose? I've limited brake smarts. So be ready for more ??? I'll get some pics when my phone charges..Damn phone. I have some of the old brake line I was going to see if I could reuse it on the front. It looks really small and easy to bend.. It's gotta work right. It just seems a lot smaller than other stuff I've messed with.

Re: Daverods 52
Worked on brake lines alittle. Used most the old s10 stuff. Thinking about a xpipe and some turn outs. The headers came with 1 7/8 going out. TYhink I would be ok if I changed the collector fitting thing to 2.25? Seems like all the xpipe, turn outs and stuff are all large than 1 7/8. Confussed

Re: Daverods 52
Ordered a bunch of 2.5" exhaust stuff from Summit. Got a x pipe and some cut outs. Had to move my middle cross member to the rear alittle so the x pipe would fit. Figure I sould have a hell of an exhaust for the 500 the shop guy quoted me. I wanted to do it myself anyway. Maybe with the $$ I saved I can get some of those electric cut out controlls. Thanks Beast, looks like a good yard. Somthing else to do this summer. Thanks for the input on the brake thang. Kinda what I was hoping.

Re: Daverods 52
I was thinking of doing the same thing. What did the pipes cost you from Summit?

Re: Daverods 52
4 bends and 4 straight pipes 2.5" was like 100 150. I also got the 2.5 flanges for my headers and a x pipe( extra 60). It was still cheap. I could have made the x pipe.

Re: Daverods 52
I'm surprised your not a dealer. I just got the full 180 bends then going to cut them up as I need them. Also 4' straight pieces. I should have plenty. I could build a roll cage with the stuff left over.

Re: Daverods 52
I don't have the buying power to be a dealer. Besides Summit is pretty affordable. Then there's also E-bay...
