That's the reason I'm getting 18's. I want that bigger lip. They would look better on my truck anyways.

The 20's are available in a few warehouses as of today, but the 18" are still 7-10 days out.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Just talked to Dan in the Bloomington, MN office and he says this:
  1. The 20x8.5 in the 5x5 bolt pattern is still in the system and he's not sure why they're not showing on the website, but they're definitely going to be available in all finishes.
  2. He checked the computer and it's not showing any of the retooled wheels in any of the warehouses. Any day now on the 20x8.5 and the 20x10 will follow shortly thereafter. Didn't ask about the 18s because I don't care.

Just a reminder that the part numbers will end in -03 for the retooled wheels. No matter where you're ordering from, make sure you get 'em to sign something in blood that you'll be getting the -03 revision.

I'm hoping that I have 1" rotors anyways so it won't matter about the part #'s but does anyone know what the hub bore size is on the new ones.

The revision allows for the rims to fit without modding the rotors, correct??

Who knows.
I'll believe they are revising the wheel when I see it.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

I ordered mine over a month ago and they said it would be about two to three weeks before I get them. Then I called last week and they said it would be at least another month. I'm so sick of waiting! Has anybody gotten the new ones yet? Also why do they have to retool the 20x10's? Do they not fit on the rear either?

Same as on the spec sheet, with -03 at the end.

That's the whole point of the revision. Me, I'm still gonna let other people guinea-pig it for me.

No one has gotten the new ones yet. If you read just a few posts up, you'll see that they haven't even hit the warehouses yet. Your best bet is to call the national number (check my post on or around page 24 of this thread for the number) for American Eagle and ask them to put you in touch with your regional office if you want the most accurate info for your area.

I'll be glad to be a guinea-pig and try these out. If someone wants to buy me a set, let me know and I'll give you my shipping address.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Does anyone know what the hub bore size is on the new wheels, the first post shows 82.8. And then I found a website that shows 94.62 hub bore, So Iwas just wandering if that is the new hub bore or what, thanks for all the info you guys posted on this subject.

82.8mm=3.259" and 94.62mm=3.725" thats close to a half inch difference.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Well I ordered my 20x8.5 and 20x10 338's a couple days ago and my fronts shipped out today and my rears are going out tomorrow.

But...supposedly my fronts are the new re-tooled version according to what my wheel guy's warehouse told him. They told him that they were the new ones and that the front center cap would be slightly different than the rears due to the new design and not having caps yet.

May be BS, but I thought I was getting the old ones so doesn't bother me.

I ordered them not caring if I needed to machine my rotors cause I was tired of waiting, but maybe I will get lucky and get the new ones. I'm not holding my breath though .

I will update you guys on Monday or Tuesday when they get here.

Man this thread is old and long...

Well another weeks has gone by and I am still holding my breath.......

Anyone have word yet?

I just ordered the CPP dropped spindles, dropped springs, sway bars and front end rebuild kit.

I will be ready to put some tires on soon.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Talk to David at 909-590-8828. He stated it would be 2 months before a retail store (Discount Tire) would be able to have this wheel, 20x8.5 or 20x10.
Brossow, you are 110% correct, the new part number for the 20x8.5 is 3382-28503, of course David at Eagle Alloy couldn't give me pricing.
SOO, I called my buddy at Discount Tire, had him call over, for the 20x8.5 it is $179.00... I can't imagine the 20x10 being much more if at all.

110%, eh? So if nine other people agree, does that mean I get a free set of wheels?

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Well, I talked to my wheel guy again and he said he confirmed they are the new design PN ending in 03. He said the new center caps are a O-ring type that will press in instead of the plastic clips.

Still not holding my breath, but they will be here on the 24th and I will take pics and do a write up if someone hasn't gotten them first and done the same.

Lets hope this is going to work, cause I love these wheels!
