Re: 1971 c10 stepside
I don't think it will turn those 22's. .. I bet it won't.
Raul, such meticulous work. Seriously man, you could work for a high end Rod shop (Foose / Allen Callaway) any of those guys. Have you ever considered opening up a place like that to do drops, fab work, etc. (?) I would imagine in that area you'd have a lot of business. Drops R Us meets Unique Whips kind of place. Just throwing it out there.

Re: 1971 c10 stepside
today i persuaded my boy into the garage , the deal was i had to play mw3 with him after !!!!! anyways he finished stripping the inside of the truck , seat doors, fuel tank and lines , meanwhile i finished the hydroboost internal rod, cut it to right lenght gave it a round radius at each end and did a small groove 1/8 wide by 1/16 deep for the plastic washer that holds the spring and put back together ,hand drill on a press stole the show today in my garage , tomorrow i will flip the bracket on the unit so that the lines will be at bottom for a cleaner look and do the install

Re: 1971 c10 stepside
hahahah , glad you boys are having fun , meantime someone is building here , i had to oped the firewall hole a bid bigger for the new unit to fit , usually there is a bracket that they sell but bit its a few inches thick , i wanted the unit flush so it wouldt stick out so much , i flipped the bracket and made new holes to match the factory bolts out of the firewall , also made the brake lines , they are tie rapped for now until i get some nice line dividers

Re: 1971 c10 stepside
the upper studs are part of the inner main brake pedal bracket so they need to stay , i could weld the upper part on the inside but that is the actual factory look so im good with that
