Well my dream of running the stock air cleaner may have died......I dropped the base as low as it can go witch is good.....
but now the lid hits the top of the carb:

It's soooo close......but this isn't horse shoes And the motor needs to get air.....I really don't want a cowl hood either. Billet Specialties makes a air cleaner that looks like a stock one.

I have seent he complete air horn taken off down to the main body just at the "rim" where the air cleaner sits. Doing it does eliminate the choke plate on the carb, cold weather starts will be a bit more difficult but not impossible.

thats what I was going to ask about....motor looks to be mounted pretty high, could it come down some?

Here is where i need some room....this pan is the muscle car pan from GM Performance Parts , great for ground clearance not so much for rack clearance
