Re: Die-cast 67-72

Do they still sell the Dazed and Confused truck at Wal-marts? I have one but I never see them for sale anymore there. I don't see any of the 67-72 chevy trucks for sale at Wal-mart around the Phoenix, Az area, and there are ALOT of Wal-marts out here. Can somebody shed some light on this subject? Thanks

Re: Die-cast 67-72

The 2 local WalMarts here in Abilene TX marked them down several months ago. I bought four of the 1:24 scale, sold one, kept one, and eventually took two of them back. The plastic bands they used to help hold the truck in place left marks that couldn't be removed. Both had fingerprints in the paint and several other defects. AND both boxes were still sealed. If they had been opened, someone did a really good job of resealing them.
The only 67-72 that I have seen lately at the stores are the 2008 Hot Wheels blue with flames custom '69 stepside.

Thanks Robert. I haven't even seen that one. I personally just like the 1:87 scale not the big 1:24. Thanks again.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Here's the HW I was talking about. Yeah, I mostly buy the 1:64 scale stuff. I have a few 1:24 though; they're all Dub City except the one black D&C..

I did some checking on this a while back and what I found out was that the molds were done, they were set for production, then the manufacturer backed out. Not sure if it was temporary or permanent. It would be a great set to have, if they ever get built.

Looks like the cancleation may be permanent. From what I read RC2 pulled the plug in favor of the smaller stuff.

Mine had lead paint and now I`m retarded.
Sorry,was that politically incorrect?
I` sell you one for what I paid for it but I just stripped the extra I had.The orange one was a gay wrestler one I bought to customize.Oops, was that politically incorrect, too?I apologize.
I just have to do the interior on the Seafoam Green`62.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Has anyone seen this set yet? I understood that Johnny Lightning was coming out with a '69 JD Blazer, but this is Ertl. I assume it is the same. I bought a couple of these sets, but they are backordered until later in June (approximate timing for the JL release as well). If they are coming out as singles by JL, I will probably cancel my order for these with the tractor.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Marks-collectibles was selling them. I wouldn't buy any from him because I lost over $50.00 on another deal for the Club Blazer. I found a website that sells the JL cases with the John Deer logo so I bought a couple of the cases. They are supposed to be here this month. I was thinking that it was the same relice as what you have but I guess that they are not. Want to sell one of the Blazer/Tractor combos that you have? WES

Wes, I would never sell anything to you - I would insist on trading for one of your hard to find treasures.

I am trying to cancel my order because I really only want the blazer. I found these at www.outbacktoystore.com
