I do believe this has convinced me to do a 20/22 combo when I redo my truck. Now as to when that'll be is another question...

Regardless this thing is awesome, I've showed a lot of my buddies your work and they've all been amazed, just like me.

I always thought 20's would be the biggest I go with but the 22 rear really sets it off. I think anything over 20 in the front starts looking to bling, but that's just me. Everyone has their own tolerances for these things. Some guys would never put anything over 15s on these trucks...

The 20/22 combo really makes your truck stand out.

I had planned running 18/20 on mine, with a 29" tall tire on the front, but money decided otherwise. I'm really happy with my 17's, and they allow me to sit pretty low without cutting the truck up (which I have neither the skill nor the money to do... yet

).

Finaly had a break in the rain and bled the brakes and drove it with the new discs and rear shock config.

First, the ride is outstanding! Good rear suspension really make a difference in ride quality.

With the rear floor still out I can really hear what's going on back there and the rear brakes are definately dragging. I think I may need to shim the caliper brackets out a smig.

No real performance testing of the rear discs yet...

I also went ahead and ordered the flex lines for the rear calipers. I just went with rubber lines for now. They are NAPA P/N 380483 for both and $14 and some change each.

So what changes did you make out back besides new shocks? Have you found a suitable sway bar yet. (taking notes)

You may find it difficult to quiet those Camaro brakes. I had those same calipers on my '94 TA. They always want to rub the rotor when you have brand new pads as well as when they are well worn. They kinda have a 'sweet spot' when the pads are just broken in and the clearances are good on both sides...

The new shocks are longer and tipped in at an angle now instead of vertical giving me full travel without shock induced limitations. The ride probably feels a little more compliant due to the bar removal as well. I'm going to go with the hellwig trailing arm bar.

I noticed when I installed the calipers that they wanted to push the rotors and axles into the housing as the bolts were tightened. I figured I'd get it all bled and cycled a few times and see where it settles. But after driving it I can definately feel and hear the drag so I'll shim them out a little.

A couple updates:

Pics of the POR-15'd notch. I used cheapo foam brushes (one time use) and they shed so the finish is speckled but it's all covered and protected (recommend spending a couple more cents for the "quality" brushes if you go that route):

The summit drilled/slotted rotors started rusting from non-use so I pulled them off and gave them a light sanding/cleaning. I found that the holes and slots were gonna be a PITA keep from corroding so I chose to POR-15 them too

We'll see if it stays there. Might need the high temp stuff.

...and got the pass-side e-brake cable routed:

But the moment you get on the brakes, it's all blown off.
