Re: How about some pics of your 4x4

I think becoming stuck has to do a lot with driving too. If you're a damn good driver with a stock truck with some agressive tire vs a little less than average driver with a mild lift and some bigger tires, you could get through some thicker stuff.

It's what I've noticed....my friend with a 03 (Sorry,) Ford Ranger FX4 will out offroad half the lifted trucks around here.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4

Here's my new truck. The guy I bought it from says it's a 71 but i'm starting to wonder since this site- http://www.pattson.com/maych/67_72_chevy.htm Shows the mirrors and the grille with no black stripe as a 72.

Dirty K5s RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Outlaw, is the rear view mirror glued to the windshield or screwed into the window frame?
72 was the first year GM started gluing the review to the windshield.

Of corse this is an easy mod to change..eaither way..run the vin to get the year right

That's what i'm wondering. The grille and the mirrors could have been changed but it's just funny that those are the only visual clues and they both say 72. She's at the shop getting road ready but i'll stop and see when I get a chance. I'll grab the VIN too. I think it's on the glove box.

The one you want is the metal plate on the drivers side door, it's riveted on and can't (isn't supposed to be) changed.

The glove box door 'could' have been changed, not likely but it a simple thing to do.
