new to the site. i have been lurking for a couple months tho. just traded my 87 honda for this 77 chevy 3/5 this is the only pic i have right now, this is what it looks like just without the limber rack on it.
one question i have is how do i know if its a c10,20 or 30..or is it a k10,20 or 30? |

The C model is a two wheel drive truck. The K is a four wheel drive model. the 10=half ton 20=3/4 ton 30=1 ton. So if your like me I got a k20 which is a 3/4 ton four wheel drive.

Here's my '82 C10.
It's got three inch drop spindles on the front, and the drive train out of an 85 GMC P35 motor-home (350 four barrel/ TH400). |

the 84 is a flip in rear c notch, and 2" spindle and 2 inch spring in front, the shop truk is coil and a half front and shackle and leafs removed from rear, someday shop truk will sit like my 84 does with coys also!!!

bharrison, that truk with the different hood used to be mine!! and the answer to the other question is, it rides good but you have to watch the pot holes and such!!

yeah i heard there were some issues with it, but when i had it i had the trans rebuilt and some odds and ends, lowered the po boy way, i seen it the other day runnin thru town with its nose up!! loooked goofy, but i see its back on the ground!! good luck with it!

yeah when i got it i stuck some stock springs in it right away,then scored some spindles off craigs list cheap, threw those on, cut a coil put a sway bar back on it and some new shocks it drives good now.Put it in the tranny shop got it shiftin right fixed the shift linkage and the speedo.Still got a few more things to fix on it but its comin along
