Re: Project "Shifted"

That looks great Rob. How are you mounting the bed to the frame? Did you just build "risers" or were you able to use the original supports and then just built the raised floor above it

I used two pieces of 3x3" squared tubing to build the front mounts and used the factory mount/crossmember in the rear. Then I used 1x1" square tubing to build a complete raised frame around the perimeter of the bed and across the middle for the wood to bolt to. If I would have had a steel bed, I would probably have built some risers.

This truck " Project Shifted." The one that I saw had a white roof now that I realize this one doesn't. You've got a twin running around.

Re: Project "Shifted"

Finally got a little more work done on the truck. I almost have the Hill's Rod and Custom inner wheel tubz installed, so I had to drop it on the ground and snap a few pictures. Here's a couple of pictures of it at ride height and laid out.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Thanks Scoti. It's been slow going and the Tubz have kept me somewhat distracted. I need to push to get this done no later than the spring. Are you ready to try a set of tubz yet, .
