I thought I had at least 2 solid supports. Well not so. BTW, I have about 5 parts trucks and none were solid. I have found a few on the board. About $200 for the best one to my door. Then I still have to blast it, primer, primer, etc. I HATE aftermarket parts and I'm as tight as they come just look at my build That's why I build and fix as many parts as I can. Quote:
Thanks kurt, It's kinda funny how freakin much time I have in some of the smallest parts and sections of this build. It's only been a year since I started blasting my frame Heck, another year and I'll be driving this bad boy |

Thanks Steve! Yeah, You know this all to well first hand. I have seen your truck and I'm sure you left no screw un-turned either. What's funny, when I go to car shows I spend a lot of time on my knees.

Yep, I think the wiring is gonna work just fine.I still need to tidy everything up and get the correct routing. That will come once I get the cab mounted on the frame. My bro. in law came over the other night. I had to let him hear it run for a few seconds. It fired right up. Man, those pipes sound good. I got rid of all the leaks I'm trying hard to line up a replacement radiator support for the rust bucket one taking up space on my floor. As soon as I get that mounted with the radiator full of coolant I will post up a video. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Thanks a lot John. I hope to be driving it by this time next year. Gonna have to get more than a few hours a week working on it to get there though. Basketball season kinda puts the brakes on this time of year.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Time for some parts pictures. Well, I found a new (installed but never filled) 4 core radiator on craigslist. Picked it up cheap ($80). These things are hard to find for under $200 plus you have to order them.
Anyway, the gentleman that I bought the radiator from started telling me how he acquired it. He got the whole truck from the son of another older fellow that passed away recently. He was in the middle of a mild restoration didn't live long enough to finish it. The guy I bought from tried to sell it whole but no takers. So he started parting out. Here's the good. 1970 CST with original paint and sheetmetal. The core support (I need too) was new, probably aftermarket but looks like an oem. I haven't found a part number on it yet. The front clip is near mint. Driver fender is perfect, one small rust area on the passenger fender cup, both inner fenders are great. The front has been converted to disc brakes 5 hole. edit: I forgot both doors are great and so is the Hood. Bunch more parts that are usable and I bought it cheap. Here's the bad. I planned on using the cab when I bought it. I knew it needed outer rockers and more on the passenger side. The driver side looks pretty solid so far we'll see. Tonight I found a little rust tumor on the windshield area. The grill is toast. The front bumper and tailgate were stolen before I bought it . Radiator: Parts truck:

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Great deal on the rad....and that core support is most likely NOS....the aftermarket don't have the pinch areas at the upper bends...they are flat/rounded there....so SCORE!!!
