Did a road trip to my in-laws today - 340 miles round trip.
The truck ran like a champ. Greg.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Over the last couple of weeks have made progress starting reassembly, front and rear suspension together, engine and transmission installed, cab has been sent to my buddy's shop for welding, body and paint... which will take a while I am sure. More details and pictures in my build thread.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Finally installed the clutch after getting the new seals in. Was a pain to get her into the engine bay but had it done at 1145 last night. Hooked up the clutch linkage and heater hoses and just have to put everything else back in and she's ready for a test run and adjustments.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
After dealing with a cold most of the week, my son and I got the old truck back together last night. Here's a few pics of what we've got done over the last few weeks. Let me know if you like the new stance.
Lowered rear 3" with CPP lowering springs Replace trailing arm bushings. Cleaned and painted some POR15 on the back half of the frame and trailing arms. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
After 15 years of sitting in my garage. My 66 has finally seen it's first sunlight. Still have a few things to do and I may finally be able to have it on the road. I have set a deadline of July 17th for a local car cruise. (Spent a couple hours trying to put windshield in today without any luck)!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part II.
Pulled out the HO52 and got the 14 bolt almost ready to slide in. Sounds easy but, dayum, those things are heavy to move around alone.
The money I spent for the oxy-acetylene and torch setup paid for itself today. Would have been impossible to get all those bolts out. |

Got bored today and I decided to clean the windows, adjust the clutch and readjust the spotlight beam plus the headlights.
