That is the cool thing that makes your truck "your truck" I'll bet I have done some things on my truck that others wouldn't have but it is mine and that is all that matters. The bed liner and wood does look good, What is the process for masking off in detailed areas so that you can pull the masking off without pulling the liner? Do you have to razor knife it first?

My Brother has a handful of side jobs he needs to attend to.
A couple of driveways to pour etc... Then we should get back to paint.

Not sure others wouldn't have done it, or at least I haven't seen it. A while
back I was able to find a video of someone going through the process. Pulling
the tape off before the liner fully cures is key, unless you like tape embedded
into your liner . Raptor isn't as thick as Line-X, so it shouldn't be much
of an issue.

Also, the bed front panel gets lots of abuse. Evidence from mine is now
covered for the most part with body filler. There were plenty of dings/marks.
If I do decide to spray it with the liner, the ones we missed will get filled.

Just saying, the front panel does gets plenty of abuse and isn't entirely immune to
getting hit. Same with the other areas outlined, brush doesn't discriminate.

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"

Made a couple small adjustments to my last reinterpretation:

Original reinterpretation -

Lightened the wood [a little] and added contrast. My wood isn't
as dark/rich as Steve's.

Then black just to see.
I couldn't get a good med. bronze, maybe next time.

It's only 35 cu. yd. cement divided between two projects.

I've never used one. I've only done one smooth finish and it was for a shed floor and I just troweled it by hand. I was joking about helping just so we could get to see some color. The wife and I are trying to get the house/yard ready for my sons 5th birthday this weekend and then its onto some much needed time on the GMC if it is going to make it to Goodguys. It looks like June has a full schedule for me.

Knew you weren't seriously offering.
He's got plenty of weekend help, and the other 1/2 will be done next week.
....so, doesn't look like they'll be [much] paint to show anytime soon.

LWB Trim pics

Took some pictures of my trim/fasteners. Some may be missing
due to being rusted away or pulled off when we disassembled.
Otherwise, this is how they were from the factory.

OEM adhesive clips, upper/bedside trim piece:

Lower pieces, metal clips shown on the end of one.
Not sure about the third pic, center pieces. The rest adhesive style:

Fenders, doors and tailgate, upper -

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"

That will keep you busy for a couple of days!!! I have that sticker stuff in MN with me. I got a big job back here in vinyl to do so I cut them and they're in my stack of stuff here to weed. I'll try to get them done in the next week or so. Something was weird with the program and it wouldn't cut the letters right, probably I needed to go back in and clean them up a little more, they were kind of jagged looking, so I'm just going to send a solid one, and an outline one. Should be sometime next week. I'll pm you with shipping prices when I actually get them cut out and packaged. PM me an address if you haven't already.

Thanks man. Just the two is cool. I think I've pm'd you my email address before to generate a PayPal invoice. When I pay it'll forward you all other info. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I recall. We'll talk later.

Re: Project "My Happy Mess"

Thanks. I've visited Garagejournal.com before, very cool. The humidity/temperature has decreased a LOT for this week. Garage should come together pretty quick. I'll post more pics when I've got time.

Got the garage up, not finished entirely. Need to pour a small approach,
not sure when. Meanwhile, polar opposites

You should see the look on peoples faces when driving this through town.
