Sick!! what kind of differential are you running in the rear? A locker or a limited slip like a diamond track? It handles those tight corners great

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

No wonder you do so well at the autocross you have autox track in your backyard. None of our tracks are that tight. Tire to fender clearance is a little close. Keep up the good work Rob.

It's called a 'gold series', I guess it's what the big boys run on road coarse tracks. The rear end was set by Ken at Speedway Engineering.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

After all the ribbing, I guess I have to give credit where credit is due. At yesterday "Battle at the Banks" the Summers and Sons C-10 (now dubbed the Saturday Night Special) - (Ohsolowtrent on the forum) pulled off an impressive 5th place overall finish, beating some pretty bad ass cars. The 'apliance white' chevy sounds like a late model, and looked pretty stable at speed. They are running No Limit suspension front and rear, with Ride Tech coil-overs, and wide 5 hubs. Check out www.Bangshift.com for coverage. I think I would have beat up on the Indiana farm truck, but they ran hard, for hillbillies.

Ahem.. Hillbillies? You must be thinking of the next state down. Very few hills in Hoosier land. Rednecks? Oh yea! Lots of those.

Need more pics of you truck. I'll try not to drool on the keyboard this time.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

No serious, the truck ran awsome for its first time out your not the only one to have gremlins, the farm truck was very stable at speed and 31 degrees of banking loads a 3000# anything very hard on the right side, finding the balance between running a highbank then having to run a flat road coarse has its challanges! I am a believer in the big bar soft spring setup it works awsome! the 295/335 bfg kd's were the weak link. You boys out there cut that junk gm cross member out buy a coil over cross member from NO LIMIT and do it right it will keep you from chasing your tail on suspension set up. Thanks agian to Rob and Tina over at No Limit Engineering for there support on the truck and stay tuned as Rob continues his dream of beating us in Des Moines (LOL), Columbus and beyond. Hell Boy meet the Saturday Night Special. PS it's beyond awsome to out run Camaro's Mustangs, and Corvettes, with a beat up ol farm truck.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

Great showing. It always comes down to tires. Thank Cale for a great event, although next time you need to order in a pizza and some pacifico's for Chad @ 3:30 pm. That would have kept him a bit calmer. Personally, I think Terry N. is a great guy, and he has made huge gains with his Camaro in the last two years, BUT, I would have LOVED to see his face when the numbers came out. That was a shocker. Buy some mufflers for that corn wagon, we'll see ya soon.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

It has them, I have a box of ear plugs for ya, and your right Terry N. is a great guy and that Camaro of his is a big dog, if he hadn't clipped that cone we would have went out second round but thats racing. Hope UPS has something for me, see you in Nashville we'll see what we can tear up there.

Re: No Limit's "K-10"

We went out testing last night at AMP in Riverside, our home turf track. Now that we have a fair baseline for tire pressures it's a lot easier to get started.
Two ways to set pressures for track use.
1. Tire temps, work on getting the 'outside', 'middle', and 'inside' temps the same. This can be tough on the front tires due to camber.
2. Scrub wear. Most of the tire reps we talk to say that in the hardest corner on the track, you should be rolling the edge of the tire just a bit. Most performance tires have a line at the edge of the tread on the sidewall, about a 1/2" down from the trerad surface. We are told there should be some scuffing of the tread down to that line.

I start with tire temps, and then look at the tread edge. - and try to get a happy medium. Here's the scary part. HellBoy likes LOW pressures, like 24 fronts, and 17 rears!!! - and I'm still not scrubbing the edges yet.
As the times get faster, the brakes get more important, and last night they hazed up. Kinda scary. Several calls this morning led us to a new set of pads. I'll let you know how it works out.

Truckin Throwdown is this friday. Check us out on Facebook at No Limit Engineering for updates throughout the day
