Re: Vintage picture thread

Great old pictures. I love that truck and that he hung onto it so long.

Here are some early-80s pictures of a couple K/20s I had...work and play

Re: Vintage picture thread

My 69 K20, I bought it in '82. My girlfriend, now wife, helped with the down payment. It was shorten down and had a step side put on it. I truck pulled it for three years, it was the NWTPA (NW Truck Pulling Association) stock 5800lb Points Class Champion in 1985. 456 gears, SM465, N/S rear end, 36 inch tires, it was an awesome puller. Hauled a lot of firewood with it too!

Holy cow! You're a young man in that pic. How old is your son now?

Re: Vintage picture thread

This thread is over six years old and the op hasn't been here in over four years, but the thread is still alive and well.

It was pretty much derailed way back there and got away from the original intent of 67 72 trucks. I can't imagine how it didn't get moved to general discussion.

I went through the whole thread, and it's sad that where pictures were, only gray PB squares remain.

I will have to get my scanner out and go through my archives.

Very interesting thread.

Dad's '68 and his CJ-7 then and now. Sure is weird being able to drive either one.

Jeep was sold in '80

Old blue in '86.

And both of them came back home this year.

Almost 26. That would have been 93 or 94

Yeah, it started in '02 before I registered. Back then it was all one big happy forum and 67-72s were still the main focus. I guess when things got broken down to body styles they left it in 67-72 since it's mostly those. Photobucket sucks. I'm no computer expert, but couldn't they have just stopped all free sharing from the point where they made the change earlier this year? They use ransom tactics hoping to expand their income and I see it as a shot to their feet.

I think that is fantastic. Not only found them, but now own them.

This was about '86

Pics from my honeys family slides. One has been posted way back, but found some that went with it. I thought the picture was older and then I found the ones with the Blazer.

Is the pick up pulling the horse trailer a 2wd? it sure looks that way. Im always impressed when I see what used to get done in 2wd - both for car and trucks.

Re: Vintage picture thread

This shot is from 1989.

A friend of mine had this truck for years and loaded it with options. He sold it to my mailman, who drove it for a few years.

I gave $1,800 for it, stripped the options, slapped the lacquer paint on it (It was super straight and rust free) and sold it for $3,500.

I couldn't get rid of the truck fast enough, cause I didn't like it. Now I feel like an idiot. Yeah, I know, I look like one too.

$1,800 and tow hooks are advertised now for $750.

Somebody flip the pic for me. No matter what I tried, the picture flipped when I downloaded it here.

I remember when it seemed like everyone had roll bars, never seem anymore.
Nice looking truck, very period for the time of the shot for sure.
