Yep,Still checkin in. Guys that are still a ways off from our own rebuilds are living vicariously through your progress! Hope to see it in person at Gm nats or the truck nats in Carlisle in the near future.I did luck out and pick up front and rear axles for my burb(free) from a guy junkin a 76 blazer. Can't wait for spring carlisle to get some more stuff for the burb.

Will do. Almost never miss Carlisle,If I get to nothing else I almost always hit spring and fall.Unfortunately, the show has gotten so big, It takes more than a day to truly see everything, so I just hit the highlights and as many of the vendors that I can.I also make sure I take the hill at least once a show to prove to myself I still can lol. I am shooting for Thursday of the spring show, Friday/Saturdays have become too much with the traffic (vehicular and people) and Sundays stink, because the vendors start pulling out. By noon, the show is half gone.us local guys will have to get together, maybe hershey or something. My burb is currently a driver, but with the 4 speed... I guess in my old age, overdrive has spoiled me and the women in my life are reluctant to ride that far in the burb. You see, my wife and daughter think the burb is hideous! My sons and I on the other hand, love it. The girls don't see a fine aged patina, they see rust.

I've heard good and bad stories on fitment.. but with all the bad stories Inline Tube made it right by sending more lines and such.. Shipping was only $17 for everything so that's not bad and the guy that answered the phone really knew his stuff. He understood the issues that I would run into by adding a stock prop valve, so he advised the rear adjustable prop valve and stock distro block. Without bending lines yourself then you are only going to get "so close" if you know what I mean. I fully expect to tweak the lines a little but for $185 with all connections ready then I can't complain. He didn't try to sell me stuff that I didn't need...

Pre bent SS Lines $185
adjustable prop valve $50
rear T block for axle $13
OEM clamp kit $28
plus shipping $17

Know I have everything except for rear brake hardware which will be a local purchase...

Does the adjustable prop valve replace the stock unit or is it in additon to the stock unit? Thanks for the reply, I was checking their website the other day and thought the pricing was fairly reasonable for everything to do an entire truck. Keep me posted. Thanks.

Mike, I think you nailed it, . I've had good success with their stuff. Prepping the lines helps a lot, as in making sure there are no burs on the flares or misaligned flares. Stainless is a very hard metal and will not seat well if the flare is not done properly.....

The tech guy said to run my original distro block for drums... then add the prop valve inline with the rear brakes.

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

Hi Mike, just found this thread tonight, read it all! Me and my son just picked up a new floor like yours from Jon monday. We had a nice road trip in the rain! We are getting ready to dive into it. I appreciate all the time you have spent documenting your work, its going to make it an easier job for others (us).
It sounds like the rocker/pillar/door fitting is critical. I think we will tack in as much as possible until the doors are test hung. Thanks again!

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

yep, tack it in... and over-support the cab in every direction...

Some guys do a better job documenting, it's hard to stop and take pics sometimes and you miss a lot of information... I try to keep up on it but could so a better job...

That floor is a pretty slick piece and Jon is a good guy to deal with.. I just put a new roof on another truck this past weekend.. they don't make that piece yet...

Re: 68 K-10 SWB build thread - project Money Pit...pics galore!

picked this up off Ebay today... GMPP HEI for $90 new... cost about $250 at the dealer.. I had to donate my Mallory unit to the 69 project flip truck since I sold it's MSD parts.. The Mallory cap was to large for a 4WD anyway and was touching my firewall.. we'll see how this works.. NEW GM DISTRIBUTOR PART# 93440806

will do, i know that Mallory unit was 5.25 or so and the top just touched.. This should be a little better since the top doesn't have the big round cap like the Mallory did..

I know another member that has one of these for sale as well.. $125 I think.

Here is my older one..it moved but you couldn't have slip a piece of paper in there!
