Thanks.
You're right I can't wait till I'm where you're at on yours.
If I could just leave well enough alone I'd be farther along.
I'm in the middle of putting hydraulics on it to operate the bed and also lowering my tank from its original position. After seeing it in for a while I decided it was to high.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

A little update.
The more I looked at the tank the more I hated how high I had it sitting in the frame.
I ended up putting it under it instead of on top.
I got some weld in bungs and put them in and bolted the tank to them.
The move meant some rerouting of the fuel lines and a smaller pre-filter which I still have to mount.
It should still be hidden by my bed once its on.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

I decided to use hydraulics to raise the bed.
Linear actuators just weren't going to raise it as high as I need it to go without a lot of trouble.
I got a system that the low riders use for their suspension and adapted it to work for my bed. It should take the bed vertical without any problems.

Re: My 57 Pro Street

A few more pics of the hydraulics. I had to re-route some fuel lines to make room for the hydraulic lines.

Not sure if they're really needed but I want to keep stuff out of the pump to make it last as long as possible. Plumbing for it was easy so the only down side is the cost of the filter.
I got one that filters 100 micron or larger to keep the restriction down.

I have made a few special nuts that I couldn't find and I think I'm a little nuts on my own for doing some of this stuff.
