Interesting you experienced this.
Mine was the same way once we got in there to find it.

Just wondering, is this typical for these trucks' frame areas to do this?

Someone welded a 3/8" plate onto my frame prior to me owning it.

I am thinking of getting a stock undamaged frame section and "Z" welding in that damaged area.
