I agree. I've seen too many Jeeps and Broncos using bed liner to replace rotted sheet metal.

68 K model 50th anniversary edition! $10000. Not mine, but it sure looks interesting! I just wish there were more pictures.

https://eugene.craigslist.org/atq/d/...037140258.html

For sale one of 48 made gold 50th anniversary 1968 4X4 half ton Suburbans.
New 327 engine with aluminum heads newer NP205 transfer case and transmission removed the rockwell that have issues. 4.11 gearing. Original Chevy 15" X 8" black powder coasted steel rims off a military blazer, New Blisten shocks with new 4" lift kit BFG 31" with ok tread tires interior needs some loving but a pretty solid truck for being 51 years old. Asking $10,000 OBO not sure what street value on these is but i know hard to come by in good condition.

Yep
MtManChads.

Beautiful Burb. He either had a build thread on here or some detailed posts on it before he lost interest. Wish I had the coin for it. Quality work

Not much left going by the photos and no prices either. It's not mine so I have no idea if it is a good deal or not.

Yeah, sometimes people just blow my mind. I don't think he will ever get that being a project, but I have never seen a cleaner one as far as rust. If he still has it after the holidays I will go look at it to see what all of the extra pieces look like.

1968 Chevrolet Suburban
Very nice rust free California truck continuously registered since 1968 with original black plates. Currently registered and insured in CA for road use. Clear title.
C10 Factory 4WD 327ci / SM465 4 speed w/ granny Low / NP205 / 3.73 Positrac Rear/ Warn 35 spline front hubs PS, PB, 6” spring lift, front disc brake conversion, D44 Front Axle w/ GM rear. 2” tow hitch.
Original style steel 16.5” wheels with caps and brand new 35” Cooper Discoverer XPP tires. Also comes with a nice set of shiny aluminum wheels the same size – no tires mounted
83k original miles w/ original 327 engine never removed, cast iron block, forged steel crank, engine compartment is original blue color.
Edelbrock 600 Carb, K&N filter. Fully adjustable performance HEI electronic ignition by Davis Unified Igitions. Hedman headers, nice dual exhaust exits in front of rear wheels.
Runs great – takes a few minutes to warm up. The short rod v8 and posi rear is also really nice offroad. 3rd Gear Low will conquer just about anything comfortably at idle. Rarely even need the 4WD
New paint inside and out in 2014. Flat White single stage enamel. Super EZ to repair. Bedliner paint along bottom.
Complete new interior…headliner, seats and foam, seatbelts, carpet, mats, dashboard, visors, nice steering wheel, all new rubber seals in all windows and doors including windshield, privacy tint on all rear windows.
No Entertainment system, or nice HVAC. These 2 last items are going to cost $$
Was to be an offroad adventure vehicle and now it is too nice to use as planned.
Hagerty Classic Car values says its worth $42K in “Like New” condition $36K if “Excellent”
I have seen professional builds of this truck go as high as $115K at auction. Make Offer.
Prefer to avoid the cost to install HVAC and electronics and auction fees.
Email through Craigslist to make arrangements to view.

I find this truck scary. The fuel line to nowhere, bypassed heater core, the hose coming from the what should be the PVC on the passenger side, the wire nut on the battery lead, and the bedliner covered rockers. With a 30K asking price! Run Forest RUN!

I painted my 70 4WD Suburban the exact same color combination back in the early 90's complete with the undercoating below the body line. It was an attempt to hide the crappy body work and filler!

Re: Suburban and panel finds

not mine:

https://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/d...072284888.html

Up for sale, a very neat 1969 C20 suburban,
3 door, barn doors in the back..
Very solid, just a little cancer in front and back of the rear tires, the front 2/3 of the truck is awesome solid. Has the plywood floor, but there is NO rot at all there.

4000$ in the engine alone. It’s a screamer, just has the cam broke in, and we got real busy farming last year, amongst other duties..
Powered by a fresh engine, a 377 Chevy,
(a 350 crank and 400 block), bored .040 over, with forged pistons that are compatible with a turbocharger (had a plan)..1.5 roller rockers, edelbrock aluminum heads, rpm
Intake and 750cfm carb. Headers, but exhaust not finished out... Hei ignition,
Comp cams 280 magnum, 12,500 rpm silicone filled harmonic balancer, and she is extremely responsive and snappy..

Other features are as follows:

Power steering and power disc brakes (former owner swapped in ‘72 pickup discs)
Has trailing arms and rear coil springs for great handling compared to leaf springs.
Older two-tone custom restoration, newer carpet. Dash is unmolested
Brand New KYB monomax shocks (pricey, and tight) and struts,
New U-Joints, and carrier bearing installed
A/C cab- not connected.
Tilt column
Electric adjustable seat(not known if factory)
Have a set of new front weatherstripping.

Note! I did somehow put in the wrong rear main seal off of a 400cu in. But I do have the right part now, to be installed. And will consider doing it for you depending on your offer.

She could use some tires, they have some life on them, just a little uneven wear..

Would not be selling this dream boat if we didn’t have to come up with the down pay for a new home. That’s why I’m offering it.
Thanks for looking!!
God bless,

...and scammers will be ignored. Don’t waste your time..
