well dem ISOFORMA USA Amazon vendor peeps did us no favors weldering that stud aka bolt in there like that for us, don't tell a.c.ward but gosh darn it he was right it was impossible to extract this contraption in it's current native state, so these bolts had to be liberated, thank you for using cheap easy to grind grade 5 hardware

and don't we all just luv buying new parts, just so that we have to modify 'em!

alright there it is, the transmission supported by a custom rubber mounted bracket, I am very pleased with the result

It's looking really nice. I still say a mockup gas engine needs sat in there to make it look like there really is a gas engine in there. What Jeep do those mounts come from? That looks like a good option for many things.

Those batteries being almost flush with the top of the frame sure would leave a lot of room for a front trunk though. That Bluetooth steering is cutting edge. I think the funniest thing I saw from SEMA last year was a big lifted truck had no front drive shaft. Instead it had the Bluetooth logo cut out of aluminum and bolted to the yoke flange. You might even be able to incorporate something like that on this build.

there's another pack (of six cell modules) waiting in the corner of my garage to go right on top of this one

Note: the sharp peak in the middle of the first battery pack is there because I have yet to cut holes for the engine crossmember bolts in the aluminum brackets, once I do that they will go down about 1 1/2"

Since you’ve got those pesky bolts removed, could you weld the nuts to the bracket for easier removal? Nice progress!

Maybe even one with a generator on it for back up situations? That way if you can find some gas you can at least recharge your batteries and make it where ever.

I got the stock OEM Lexus GS450h two piece drive shaft so I started to work on the middle donut support mount, I believe it's crucialistic that the short shaft is perfectly in line with the transmission

I started out by divorcing the two pieces just to make the short stick lighter and easier to work with, plus mounting it by itself gave me a line of sight to test with my eyecrometer

I also chose to remove the bulky rubber doo dad off the long shaft, at the end that would mate with a Lexus differential

this is where we will welder up an "American" [pronounced: Universal] joint

for this I decided to work out front in my driveway, figuring it's been days since my last HOA complaint!
