Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
69 K10 long step NICE $13,995 OBO
69 C10 swb $8800 72 C20 Cheyenne Custom Camper $11,770 Comes with original 350, but 383 in it now. 69 C20 Custom Camper $4400 not a common color for this era (more of a 60-66 color), original white over light blue 537. Interior color against the light blue sheetmetal looks awesome. This would look sharp restored. Last edited by jocko; 06-09-2019 at 12:24 AM. |

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
2 affordable Highlanders in the same day? I like the green/ avocado better than the blue, but the blue one has about all the rust I'd want to handle. Cool finds Myself!

Altho I could go see my stepson next week he lives in Buffalo. Just a 5 hour ride and I have a free place to stay. Would make some browny points with the misses too.

I put my 2 remaining brain cells together this morning after coffee and I think he just doesn't know how to edit pictures and he didn't want the license number visible so he just grabbed two available junk plates and stuck them on there for the photo. Maybe same for the Vin too, just made up. Really interesting truck. Wouldn't look right tooling around L.A. though, it needs to be in the great outdoors IMO.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Would be nice if the seller’s took pictures of the SPID— they rarely do so on CL or even eBay for that matter.

As the owner of a repro tach I recognize that as one. The non-faded red center is the giveaway to me. If I’m wrong, flame away...

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Pretty solid 72 Cheyenne here in Des Moines for the right money. Very tempting.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I don't know if the seller of the white longbed stepside is a member, but I asked to see the SPID and if he has verified the date code on the engine, two days ago, and no reply. In the ad it says "ask any questions". Starting to doubt the "originality" on this one. Too bad, if it was an original K10 long step it would be a nice buy. BTW the BIN price has been lowered to $10,400. Still too high if it was a conversion and the motor was swapped tho. I also see a fair bit of overspray on the underhood photo, and no chalk marks on the firewall to check the original model #.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Don't feel bad, the other day I asked for a SPID and the reply was "isn't that asking a little too much for a 40 year old truck?" My reply was "if it is, then so is asking $10,000 for one". He never wrote back...

I guess the "4 Wheel Drive" emblem below the side marker light is some kind of reassurance that the truck may have originally been 4WD, but it's just odd that the guy is obviously paying attention to the listing (he's changing the BIN price daily) but won't answer a question or post a SPID. I guess the universe is telling me that I don't need another truck right now.... |
