I believe you're right Scott. I think I may get a chance to do that today. I'm off to change Trailblazer fluids now... not nearly as much fun as the 71!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well, I didn't technically do all this today but painted the dash black and reinstalled the rebuilt column, dashboard, new speaker, radio, etc.
The interior was originally white and blue. Did the seat a while back. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

Now, you're a better man than me if you stop there and don't install some new and pretty gray or black carpet and kick-panels. I mean that. I, personally, can't stop after a project turns out as good as your interior did.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Used it for work ;
Passed a local Church that was having a car wash fund raiser , they only charged $5.00 and did a tip top job ~ they were worried about the used parts in the bed , I said no worries and now it looks pretty good without all that dirt on it . Stopped and filled the tank , added one quart of 40W oil , 1/2 cup of ATF , she's ready for more work . BOWTIES 'Till I die !! .
Very clean job, 396C20.
QUOTE] Thanks magwakeenercew2jh! I appreciate the compliment. I've wanted to do this since I got the truck 7 years ago and finally got to it. Would you believe it all started with having to fix a sticky shift lever? It kinda snowballed.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Fixed my rusty/leaky windshield(hopefully)lip/seams & rusty dash. I'm not ready to paint the rest of the truck for a year or two so it was kind of a patch job. Oh well looks better than it did before and matches the trucks theme: looks good from far but far from good!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well after re-gasketing the motor, changing all fluids, new HEI , rebuilt carb, I finally started it for the first time. After not having a good connection at the junction for the fusible link delayed the start, once I figured it out and cleaned the terminal, it fired on the first crank. Now fix the brakes and we will take it on its maiden voyage!

I like the white top and moldings add. And I guess it's the drop and pic angle but that bed looks 10' long.

I installed the new rear bumper, added the LED taillights to it, installed antenna delete setup for internal powered antenna, and installed the new gas magnum shocks
