How 'ya doin', Boog ?
'bout as good as can be expected I reckon.
I was busy yesterday hanging flyers about my stolen truck. Only had a few tips yet. Nothing solid.

Very cool. Thanks for the explanation and impressive save on the '32 top tank. The Chevy radiator in your pic is pretty if that could be said about a radiator.

Hey Dale.
It was my '91 Sportside. My family owned since 1994. My mom loved it over her '91 Sedan Deville. Me too.

I can see why it was stolen, that's one nice looking truck. No excuse, I still say break their thumbs when they are caught.

Nice looking truck!!! Best of luck finding it. I hate thieves, they need to experience a lot of pain when caught!

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Got a new space heater, Sunfire 80k unit I bought so I can use my new shop this winter (no heat yet) . Just tried it today really like it had to leave the door open for about an hour to burn off the production oil . After that there was no odor at all and it’s indoor safe . Really like it warmed up the 30x50 to about 60 degrees in about an hour and it’s very quite . It’s wired to use a battery powered household thermostat

I removed the cardboard right after the picture

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Got me another rail for the first few steps up, I'm getting to be a bit older now (68) and I'm feeling the downside of stuffing my fat face with Christmas goodies.
The step ladder is for changing the pellet gun target and the backpack is for bugging out with a few things in case of a fire.
Heck I can zip up the stairs like I'm 20 now!

...not really.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Fixed up this ~1938 Craftsman drill press. Picked it up this summer with a Procunier tapping head on it. It had a melted cord for the motor, the seller told me to throw away the drill press and keep the tapping head. The cast spindle cover is missing some pieces but it'll do for now. It was easy enough to fix, runs smooth and quiet again. Might put a Jacobs chuck on it yet.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Changed the earl and serviced the Cummins today. My Son had the day off, so he and the granddaughter came over, he did the below deck dirty work, and I took care of the topside duty's.

It's great to have a couple of boys who grew up helping dad, come work on my stuff!!

Mine brings his 3 cars to our house to service them since I've got the shop and all the tools needed. Guaranteed to see him fairly often.

I hate the white stuff . Had to plow over the weekend . Thinking of bugging out myself but my passport is expired so it would need to be a US location. And it doesn’t look good to be going south any time soon . Guess Hawaii would be a good destination. My winter vehicle has been running very well

We went to HI for 32 years the last two weeks in Feb. Stayed on Kauai a few miles north of Lihue. Loved it. Stayed at vacation rentals near or on the beach.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

I went walking (laps) around the next "abandoned" mall, in my area.
I've been paying much more attention to getting my steps in, since getting a fitness tracking watch this Christmas. The weather has been mostly ok-ish, it is central Ohio in the winter.
I have been outside walking or cycling very consistently, until the last two days. It has been exceptionally cold/windy, so outside is not so pleasant. A home center or Walmart is ok for a couple of thousand steps, but looks a little suspicious beyond that.
The mall that used to be close to my house, was closed years ago, and since torn down. The next closest one is nearly 10 miles away. It has lost it's market-share to a couple of newer malls, thus declining, but I had no idea how bad It was shocking. I went in through one of the anchor stores, which puts you on the second floor. It was freakishly deserted, but I could see stores open on the lower level. I made a lap around and worked my way down. It was nearly as bad down there. Many stores were just plain empty, some even had the windows blocked. Even the little kiosks were barren.
Granted, Tuesday near-noon, not the busiest time, but other than a couple of mothers with pre-school age kids, the only people in there were doing the same thing I was. Different directions, different paths, some on the stairs, some avoiding them.....all just walking.
It won't be long, I'm afraid. The 3rd formerly-major mall, will be gone, in just a few years.
