Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Rattlecanned the truck this weekend and dropped the front end . Not sure about the color scheme , but it is a turqousie color .... even though it looks like a crappy blue in the pic.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Put rear axle seals in last night. Gonna throw a thermostat in it today. Been doing little projects almost everyday and it's almost ready for daily driver status. For as long as the truck had sat it really hasn't needed that much. Gotta love old stuff that was built to last!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Bought new bolts and put in the cross member! It feels awesome actually assembling.
Tomorrow will put on the control arms, spring, spindles and anything else I can squeeze in. Steven

NOTE--it's interesting to see just how many VW's sneak into photos of the old trucks on this site...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
haha yea... now i cant Not look at the VW's...
Played with the drum brakes today while I wait for enough money to change to disk. Brake cylinders look good, I think I'll just slap them back in instead of installing the new ones I got.....

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
My plan was for my son and I to go over to Grandpa's shop and switch out our steering column, modify the fan shroud to fit, and tap a couple of broken screws in the door panels. That all changed when I got the last minute call to work Saturday....oh well

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
My $10 grill!
The crappy pics make the mesh look crooked but I checked it with a steel straight edge. Only one little wave on one spot which I dollied out tonight. It's one of the best original grills I have ever seen. Also picked up new stainless button heads for the motor mount perches and polished them up. Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Completed 99% the electric fuel pump installation this evening. Adding a new mechanical pump and revised hard line to the carb tomorrow should bring it back to running condition.
