Took advantage of the nice weather today and pulled the bed off the frame. Need to weld new mount perches on then I am going to pressure wash and rust proof the frame. Fun stuff!

Rolled the beast out today for the first time this year. The wife came out and said instead of standing there looking at that money pit go to the nurseries and get the trees we need. So first day hauling trees. All men need a truck if they are married!!!!! Have a good one eh!

Today I cleaned up a couple of wheel cylinders using a vintage AAMCO brake honing set I inherited from my Dad.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II
Pate swap meet was good to me. New set of wheels and a truckload of other goodies! This guy had the right idea, a MOTORIZED RECLINER!! I MUST make one of these, and of course a trailer to haul parts with for the next swap meet of I’m lucky enough to go. Also don’t forget the sunscreen next year, I’m fairy roasted. Sorry about the last pic, I forgot to tilt my phone what I snapped it and don’t know how to fix it.

Put my new "Factory Tach" in that I've had for six months. Next up is rewiring the stereo, new carpet. Then put in the new bed wood and paint.

Got the logo painted. Waiting for a few weeks then sand it to match the truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II
my 71 K20 Burb has factory sport mirrors, no other holes found in the door..
right side mirror head was broke off when I bought it and it's a little tough parking squarely on the curb without it.. so I bought the LMC pair with built in fisheyes, cool right? so after drilling screws to remove the door panel [saved every thread in the door btw ] chasing threads and lubing everything, I installed the mirror with three arms, yep, that's about how it went.. and now I can't see a damn thing next to the truck with it, from the driver's seat anyways mirror head binds into the arm no matter which way I turn it well, it is a 'passenger' mirror so I guess it's for passengers to see behind the truck useless as a screen door on a submarine.. door and window hardware however are all working smoothly now

I just have gotten used to turning around and craning my neck to look out the rear window when I'm backing or when I changes lanes now.
