But it's not easy to do ANYTHING if you don't have the time. For most folks, some things (for me, it's body work) just need to be done with a checkbook. Congrats on the Vintage Air.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
it's a pretty nice driver. the drop and disk brakes are just temp on this truck. when it dries up and i can get back intheyard i will be giving this one a4 wheele 6 lug disk brake conversion and this setup will go on one of my 67 short box trucks. my lower balljoints were at the point i had to do somthing nd the brakes left alot to be desired. i had all these parts on hand. other than i got new calipers hoses and master cyl

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Drove it, but over the past few days I've changed the passenger door hinges, added new front shocks and cut 1 full coil off the front. What a rack on this thing now, rack should be gone a little this weekend, 2" rear blocks next.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Took the headers off the old engine, stripped them down and repainted. Also decided to pull the tranny out , cleaned it up and repainted it too, what a mess it was. Hopefully pulling the motor tomorrow.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well I got the rear shocks relocated with my home made mounts.
Gotta get some cutting wheels to mount my fronts.

Picked up a new hood and heater controls, along with an ashtray and later model washer bottle set up from the local junkatorium.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I took the '67 and '75 for a short drive out in the country to get them some exercise. Of course I took the '67 first since it has the 454 and wanted to have little fun.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Well I did this a few weeks ago but just took the pictures today.
Got the on board compressor all hooked up with the pleasure lift gauge and push button switch to fill them up. Works great takes maybe 30 seconds to fill.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Seems like day just went by....
My truck is obviously a driver...not a show truck in any sense of the word. But I have a friend who is running a local show and I signed up. So, I spent a day under the hood doing what I could with what I had to work. Also, it seemed like I'd just clean up one area and another that I'd already cleaned was dirty...And she didn't move an inch! I can see the subtle changes from yesterday, but I'm sure I'm the only one. No matter. It was a good day. Nothing broke. And I didn't buy anything!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
I swapped out the old 6 lug axle shafts for new ones... the old ones had been sitting around my buddy's barn and had pitted races... I put those in last weekend... also installed my sway bar! 1-1/16" bar... OMG What A Difference!!!!
So sense last weekend my truck has new rear axles, bearings, new gear oil, a sway bar, new backup/safety switch, new dimmer switch pigtail, new to me chrome bumper, and turned drums. the truck is really starting to come into its own. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Got the motor pulled last night ,, now more clean up needed in that engine bay, still need to take out the bell housing off the mounts and that will get a nice bath and repaint too,

Re: What did you do to your truck today!
Gave it a new stance. Added CPP 2 1/2" drop spindles. Now it sits 5 1/2" in the front and 5" in the back.

Just follow this guide http://www.wideopen4x4.com/NP205RebuildGuide.html It should be quite easy since you just can unbolt it at the transfer case and then just pull the whole thing out. /Patrik
