Thanks Scott, that is exactly what I thought, I don't think I'll need the idler pulley but I can always add it if I have to.

Thanks Dale, but I'm far from professional, I just really took my time and put lots of effort into this piece.

Then bent this little jog into the piece so it lines up correctly, then drilled a hole through both pieces and put a bolt through.

Today I got both the coil springs installed and then torqued the lower ball joints to spec.

I was then able to put the wheels on and put the truck back on the ground for the first time in months.

And since I was already outside I just decided to drill out the plastic pins and separate the collapsable steering shaft.

Thanks John, I'm actually making another one for Steve Hawkins on the Facebook group, so if you're interested we can talk about it.

Well about a week ago the temperature dropped and now we're down to -10 celcius with almost one foot of snow on the ground, but I've still been making progress

I started with working on getting the framerail near the steering box welded back in place, so first I tacked it up

Then I fully welded it up and ground it down smooth with a flap disk, it actually looks much nicer than the factory weld seam which can be seen to the far left

Re: Nik's 62 build

No pictures but today is my 17th birthday and my mom and dad surprised me with a nice set of tires for my 16" rims! I'm really excited to get them mounted and on the truck soon! I'll post some pics tomorrow when there's a little more light. I also just passed a road test and I now have my novice license, meaning I can finally drive on my own without a supervisor. So now I'm going to be trying even harder to get the truck road worthy for this spring so I can insure it and drive it!

What a great gift! I bet you'll get it up and running by then, you've been making some awesome progress and doing great quality work.

Thanks Scott, hopefully, I still have lots left to do but the list is slowly getting smaller.
