She's looking great JJ. Still my go-to as an example of what I want my truck to come out like. The stance is purrrfect as far as I'm concerned.

What's happening with the new frame?

It sounds great, has the perfect stance and it just looks right!!

So, are you keeping it this way with your new frame and maybe a LS motor?

Did a little on the frame, got the notches cut down and trimmed flush to the bottom of the frame. Going to have a pro weld them in, I want the welds to be perfect!

Thanks Kees! My plan is to swap the truck as is over to the frame when its done, hopefully with a new LS3!!!

Well guys, I still haven't made any progress on the frame, but I did get my door panels done!!

My interior guy used the red textured fabric from the 63 Impala seat to cover the Altman Latch long door panel inserts.

I think they turned out great!

Stay tuned Dan, there might be a seat coming along soon!

I've thought about something similar except I liked the phony "stainless" I simulated with paint on my door panels. I've thought about having the door panels chromed just to get the raised detail (like around your upholstered insert panel) chrome, then paint the outside part like you did and use an upholstered panel inset like yours.

Looks really great, congrats!

If you figure out some way to make that raised detail look like smooth chrome I'll be all ears to see how you did it! Everything's looking SO good on your truck!

CD After seeing the excellent job your upholstery guy did on the door panels that interior is going to look great.

Dan, you might take a look at "Spectra Chrome" process to get the chrome door panels done. Maybe ask your painter.

I will have to try and get it out there then...I haven't been in a long time. Would love to catch up with you. There's a show/swap meet at the Tattooed Moose on Johns Island this Sunday and I think they are going to gave it the first Sunday of every month.
