Is that a custom job? Never seen a spare that was below the floor of the bed like that.

Thanks it was not an option but should have been. You can't see the spare from the side top or bottom. It was all made from scratch except for a trailer fender used up side down.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

What a shame, nice combo. I just posted my '71 with slide-in in the "One That Got Away" thread. My biggest regret with selling.

I just found these pictures from last spring that landed in the wrong folder on my computer. Just a few square of shakes

We were going to a swap meet. People wont pay jack here at a swap meet. I see stuff selling here on the board for two to four times as much and need to be shipped. Shipping big stuff like tail gates just isn't worth the hassle. I did give a bunch of board members some very good deals on parts.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

It seems flippers think the original and still the best way to buy parts is just their wholesale market any more. When their eyes bug out after being quoted what they would be wanting for it I just say, "Isn't that what you would ask?". It's not like swap meets are a bunch of guys having fire sales. These are the most dedicated and often longest involved individuals who, if not for them, there would not have been this hobby to turn to. Respect your swap meet vendor. Also, we can get a little gnarly out there in those few days, unlike the keyboard pecker taking a few minutes to list at over the top prices from his arm chair. So WATCH OUT!!

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Very good job man. I figured it had to be something you'd done yourself but I didn't know for sure.

I'm a stepside man so my spare tire is pretty out of the way to begin with but if I had a fleetside, I'd do what you did. Does your inverted fender have a drain hole?

*Just this week I gave a guy a ride to work, he'd had a blowout but didn't have a spare. He said "if you hadn't of stopped and picked me up, I'd have lost my job because it was my first shift with that company."

Carry those spares, keep them pumped up.

There is a drain hole and 3/16 round bar on the bottom for water and debris to wash out.

A pic from Memorial day morning windmill install at a friends place. Had two of my favorite trucks out that day The 01 and the 71 were both used. I need to get a brake controller installed in the 71.

Nice to see it in use. Nice to see you doing windmills.

Makes me want to show a job picture. Not sure if this has been shown. Last summer on a sundeck job. Just tools & 'stuff' in the bed needed for the job

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

Is towing hauling? I took a load of job waste to the center today. The old 133" wheelbase didn't know the load was back there. Notice the payload was only a little over a ton.

Re: Lets see pics of your truck hauling!!

The best part was that big block idled through that photo op and unloading the trailer with the air conditioner running. I've never had a BB that would do that.
