I agree. It is always nice for me to "stop working on em and let em go on down the road". I think the "Mullet" is gonna be a cool daily driver. I am always excited at the start of a new project. Kinda a honeymoon stage I guess.

Thanks Flashed. I sent him the info of the forum. We'll see. He plans to slam it down on bags and either put an LS motor or a Duramax in it. We'll see. He owns 2 collision shops so he has ready access to talent. I am actually looking forward to seeing what he does with Homer. (Little tear in my eye)

I agree. On the back of the bill of sale I made a short list of little stuff that needed to be completed to make him 100%. About 15 items. I told him "when I bought this truck it needed about 980 things done to it. I did all of them except these last few items". He fully understood. Most don't.
I also told him "when I bought the truck it was wayyyyyy down the cool ladder close to the bottom. I took it way up the ladder but no where near the absolute perfection of it's potential". Now it's up to him to take Homer a little further up the ladder. When he sells it, next guy can do the same.

Didn't want to let "Homer" die as I really enjoy chatting with you all. (You know who you all are) so I went out this past weekend and bought another 68 pickup. His name is,,,,, you guessed it,,,, Homer 2. Get it?
He's a 3/4 ton long bed Rust Free step side. Not perfect or pretty, but hey who am I to judge???

I made a deal to buy this truck sight unseen last November. Just from what my old car buddy told me about it I knew it had to be worth saving. Whether I build a truck out of it or pass it along to let someone else have at it. I could not pass up a rust free 68. The day I took these pics it was colder than a well diggers arse so I didn't spend too much time looking, but I see a cool truck waiting to come out and play. Come back to life.

Homer is on his way to his new home in Pennsylvania according to the brother of the new owner .He just bought our 67 short bed 4x4 stepside project truck too.
