I can see a new avatar coming soon too. Throw the rallies on there let's see what it looks like. Should be super cool anyway.

Yeah, I've been tossing around the idea of lowering it a bit myself!

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
With the way you have the jack stands under the truck, mainly being placed at the far ends of the frame, watch your door-to-fenders gaps when you set it back on the ground. With the jack stands in those positions the body and frame will actually droop in the middle a little, so when you bring it back down to earth, the upper gaps will open up slightly and the lower gaps will tighten up. Ask me how I know.....
That being said, I think a black square with rallys is one of my most favorite looks on one of these trucks!

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
Didnt think about that. I will move the jackstands under the axle tubes and front suspension and see if it changes enough. That is a sharp looking truck too. I like that alot.

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
Are you going to get rid of your 22s and go old school? I have the black rallys on my bagged c10. Love em. And it makes for a smoother ride.

Gotcha, I thought they were 22s, love those coys but also love the rally wheels especially when they are tucking like mt truck.

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
Whew, mine definately wont be that low. I stripped the rallys today and will prime and paint them sometime this week. Then I need to order tires. Thinking of running 295/50r15 in the rear and 255/60r15 in the front. I need to find pics of 295s on a 8 inch wide rally though. I will use these through the winter while I am building my CCSB and then order some big inch billet wheels for the black shorty!

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
I think the 295/50 is too wide for an 8" wheel. It just doesn't look right to me. Find a set of van 6.5" rally's for the front, and run a 215/70 or 225/70 on them, and a 255/70 for the rear. It has a nice look to it, and tucks up nice with the drop you have.

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
Definately dont want skinny rallys on the front and I think the 225/70 has too much sidewall and not enough width for my taste. Just my opinion though.

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
What about running a 275/60 on the back. I have never run them on 8" wheels but I know alot of guys do. I always ran them on 10's.

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
Thats what I have on mine but plan to go wider. My old 383 could spin the BFG 275/60's from a 5-10mph roll...and from a stop was way too easy. With more power I'll be needing more tread on the road. I'm thinking 315's on a 10" truck rally.

Re: The 6.0 Silverado Build
I got the headlights, wiring and grill reinstalled. Glad to have the stock front back on and complete. Man is this thing ever going to be done? One small step at a time I guess.
