Thanks Scoti. It's been slow going and the Tubz have kept me somewhat distracted. I need to push to get this done no later than the spring. Are you ready to try a set of tubz yet,.
I'll definitely hit you up when my 67 comes up in the build rotation. I think they'll compiment the Hills front units nicely (& save me some work!).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Hi Rob! Truck looks great. Of course I love the color. Have you noticed that every pic you take the color looks different. Mine is the same way, very cool.

Thanks! I agree on the color, depends on the lighting and the angle....

Thanks Bill! I enjoyed it also, wish I could have stayed longer. Hopefully next year will be a little less busy on my end.... Take care.

Here are a couple pics of the tailgate and filler pieces painted. I plan on picking up the bed this weekend, one step closer....

Thanks Moose! While installing the Hills front Tubz, I decided to build some filler pieces instead of just cutting the factory fender. I know, I know....that's why this thing keeps taking so long......here's a few more pictures.

Re: Project "Shifted"

Looks slick! Did you just use the profile of the Hills fender to get the shape? Also, what's the install plan? Is this a direct replacement for the piece of original metal you show or will you cut it down and weld it in with that same piece?

Awesome work!

The filler pieces look good! Did you use two bucks for differences on left and right?

Thanks! Yes they match the Hills fenders. I will weld them back in to replace the pieces I cut out.

Thanks! The 2 sides were different, so I had to make 2 bucks.

In post 655 your Chevrolet letters look perfect! How did you accomplish this?

Wayne - we sprayed the entire panel where the letters are with white paint. Next, after the white paint dried, we took some Chevrolet decal letters and put on top of the painted letters. Then we painted the entire tailgate green. Finally, after the green paint dried, we pulled off the decal letters, .

Big milestone this weekend. I finally picked up the bed and installed it on the truck. I'm pretty stoked. I hope to make a ton of progress on it in the coming weeks....!!!
