Spray on wire wheel cleaner used to work pretty well to clean aluminum intakes.

Drew,

Check with Tripp. I remember that he used a product that I believe was called Cast Blast. I'll check in with you this weekend.

Jess

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

This may not qualify as post worthy, but its all I've got. The patient's heart is ready for the transplant. I also swiped a 6.0 engine cover off of the Denali Yukon outside to be installed later.

Now I'm off to a birthday party.

We had a birthday party tonight, and then homework, so no help tonight. Just me.
I carefully dropped her in, hung the wiring harness on the side of the frame, ran all the fuel lines, hooked up all of the electronics on the trans, installed the trans dipstick, and studied the front suspension a little for this weekend.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Well then, where are the pics of you with the dremel

just kidding. Nice job all by yourself. I know it can be loads of fun when you've got something heavy on the hoist and trying to move it/keep it from swinging around and breaking stuff off....especially with all those wires/sensors attached...

Yes, everything factory!! Part of the beauty of this build is that most everything is factory engineered 2002 GM. I want a truck that I can throw the keys to anybody and they could take a road trip. That's why the airbag system will have level sensors and defaults to ride height when you turn the key.

I like that Makes going to th eparts store easier. Nothing worse than trying to remember what year model and vehicle you transplated a part from.
